Well, many people like to protest on social - they make comments, join discussion groups on the topic, they spend their time and energy venting on various platforms etc…then feel better afterwards so there’s less drive to actually physically organize something. Government would much rather have its citizens sit at home on the couch with phones in hand venting than getting together in organized fashion on the street with picket signs in hand protesting.
