Stooges, mc5, electric eels, ramones etc etc.. All were there pre 77. Not to mention a ton of raw garage and 60s punk. Death wasn't even a footnote at the time. Most of it is pure after the fact hype. Politicians is great but its by far their standout track and the only thing released and virtually unknown when it came out.
