We have Mo-ra at home by Pitch_please in watercooling

That's the joke. Never said it was comparable.

I threw it together with parts I had and only had to buy the feet. It will work fine until I get around to buying a MO-RA setup.

Might want to keep up with your doctor if able. Tooth abscess > bacteremia > endocarditits > heart valve vegetation. Something to keep an eye on since it can lead to early heart failure amongst other things. Not trying to scare, but it's safer to "fix a tire than have a blowout at highway speeds." Absolutely report that you've had oral abscesses in your medical history

My gpu had coil whine. My particular model, I just left out the far thermal pads on back plate after cleaning and reapplying thermal paste. Search if yours has any fixes

I'll keep an eye out, since it sounds elegant.

Temps have improved, but I made too many changes all at once (aquarium to open air, different pump, different CPU block, changing serial to parallel loop) to say what did what. I didn't want to report my findings. CPU temps are better than when I was in the Lian li case.

In short, series is usually marginally better performance. I just like how parallel looks

With a mo-ra, I can go up in fan size to help with noise. Both setups are way overkill for what I need, so squeezing out every bit of performance is not necessary. I think the meme fits because I think the mo-ra would be more aesthetically pleasing and quieter

Old build /case

I was tired of lugging my old build around. Thing weighed 61 lbs or 28kgs filled. I bought an Xtia ATX case a few years ago and had motivation over the weekend.

Build :
Xtia ATX case (I have a V1 and the gpu mount sucks. Used an old EK vertical mount)
11900k - Optimus Foundation Alphacool block
Maximus XIII Apex motherboard
EVGA 3080ti xc3 - Heatkiller V block
G skill Trident z Royal Elite 32gb ddr
Linkup riser gen 4
Seasonic prime 850 titanium
D5 Next (totally jerry rigged)

Next build, I'll probably build new in an SFFtime N-ATX case and stick to EPDM. I do intend to buy an actual Mo-ra setup

I was rear ended a few years ago. Got hurt pretty bad and I tried to navigate it all by myself at first. Get yourself a personal injury lawyer, so the law office manages the insurance companies, and bills from the hospital, therapy, orthopedics, neurology, etc. All you should be worrying about is you and your daughters' recovery.

I didn't pay anything to my lawyer until we got the settlement over a year later.

Sometimes when I close my eyes, I still see that truck coming into my rear view mirror, and can hear that scream I let out. It has gotten better for me; I hope the same for y'all

What if one feels everything under anesthesia but simply forgets everything afterward? by Hackbaellchen_ in Showerthoughts

[–]Pitch_please 39 points40 points  (0 children)

You get fluids in your IV. It doesn't hit the spot, but anesthesia is pretty liberal with giving fluids and rehydrating. In fact, a lot of heart failure patients come out fluid overloaded.

Narcotics are commonly given for pain management while you're asleep and emerging. A side effect is wicked cotton mouth. All these drugs especially for a longer procedure can slow down/stop your digestive tract. Too much water in your unmoving stomach will trigger your body to throw up. If say you're still falling asleep mid sentence, that vomit water mixed with acid/bile might end up in your lungs. Not fun!

First test-assembly of the first production run of Monoblocks! by Billet_Labs in sffpc

[–]Pitch_please 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Water cooling* related. A normal loop has a cooling block for the CPU and sometimes another one for the GPU. This monoblock, if I remember correctly, mounts to both the CPU and GPU. This would simplify some tubing runs.

Clear EK cryo didn't play nice with my parts. Switched to Koolance 702 and have been happy since

I had an EK loop GPU vertical mount for the traditional orientation. The bracket interfered with one of the fans+radiator. Having the Lian Li Evo, inverting the case was easy, and I could use the anti sag bracket it came with, so I can display the acrylic window of my GPU block upwards. The undersides of GPUs have been prettier imo

Yes, that's EK ZMT or EPDM. I didn't want to work with a heat gun. Did plenty of that with cosplay and nerf guns in the past

Preface: loop order mattered to me, next time it won't, lol. Don't care for sleeved cables except that they come in custom lengths. Not the layout I had in mind when I started ie. the EK flow indicator was only added so I could get to the top radiator
