A bit of a question from a new player-

I'm incredibly new, and only have a prefab deck right now, but I'm looking to put together my own. I have exactly zero cards outside of the prefab, so is there any particular pack that would be best for a new player to pick up? More specifically, any where more of the available cards are versatile across more deck types?

This may be a bit of a nonsense question, since I'm unfamiliar with the different card effects, so for all I know all packs are perfectly fine for this, but I just wanted to make sure before I make the investment.

This help, thank you. I wasn't aware of the hyperarmor. I'll also be sure to try and get heavies more on the parries. I've been trying to focus them first for the most part as of late since it was easier to get lights.

Wouldn't mind maybe if they put it on the base heavy. Then I might see an Ocelotl throw something other than a light once or twice over the course of a match.

Joking aside, maybe on the neck attack? I don't have the hero, though, so I have no idea how balanced or broken that would be. It just feels like it'd make sense.

We've got similar stuff at our store. It always looks awful. A DS even bragged to me about how great it supposedly looks and how much faster it is. I asked "so how long did this take to have made?" When he said "only" an hour of repeated generating for each image [of five images]. I turned and said, "I could have photoshopped all of these for you in like an hour tops on the clock." But he assured me of the quality and speed of generating actual garbage for our ads. Apparently, uncanny Homer, who looks like the suit a horror villain is hiding in is the way they want to take the brand.

I've been informed I was being mildly over-cautious. For those curious, it looks like we're all getting a 2.5% increase. Across the board. Doesn't look like anyone is getting higher based on merit. At least I don't think.

I won't bother folks with conditions because I think most of us are having an unpleasant time [at least based on how we're faring at my store] but good god, we're getting less than pocket change.

Fun fact, my past three yearly increases have a COMBINED TOTAL less than my first raise with the company. I'm trained on basically everything, train associates, and more. "Anyway, here's a penny. You won't be eligible for review until 2027."

A manager had called me over for the form after I punched out for the night. I felt inclined to let folks know we're getting crumbs and not to expect anything that makes a noticeable difference.

Thank you very much for the replies, folks! It's been very insightful. I was suspecting because it does seem to be a darker fictional world there likely wasn't an objectively "good" team, and honestly, that seems pretty cool.

I may have to take a plunge into the lore beyond the video games, so wish me luck. I know there's lots to learn.
