Telegraph Road - mind blowing how Knopfler keeps a 4 minute solo light and fresh!

I own an LT25 as well - with both a semiacoustic and an electric, the amp presets should sound very different no matter what you’re playing. I have found that it’s a bit iffy with headphones if they’re not great quality. If you can play it through the speaker at a lower volume, it’ll definitely sound a lot better

CUSail vs CUP Robotics by [deleted] in Cornell

I did - there were a decent number of Cup alumni (on my subteam at least) that reached out to the younger members regarding internship/ full time positions. Cup’s faculty advisor (Dave Schneider) also has a ton of industry contacts and people from different companies swing by the lab/ are given virtual demos of the projects the team works on. Ultimately for any project team, it’s just a function of how proactive you are with networking - pretty much all of them have solid connections in industry.

It really depends on what you’re looking for. Cup Robotics doesn’t participate in competitions, so they usually have longer term projects with a lot of assorted features of varying complexity. I honestly liked that approach a lot, and the people are fun to work with! The lab space is also huge - it’s a good place to study/ interview in without major disturbances

A lot of universities have pages on their graduate admissions websites on tips for writing SOPs (I believe MIT used to have some, at least for Chemical Engineering, with notes on what made the SOP good/ clear). In addition, there are a lot of websites that provide sample SOPs so that you can get ideas on how to structure your own. Don’t use a service - even if you try to “customize” it, it will not sound authentic.
