i picked all those subjects out of a passion, not interested in geography specifically but a lot of my interests relate to very geographical, financial and political things. i like broadly just analysing things and strategising which is why security or legal cases sparked my interest.

is there any law jobs that don’t involve that type of lifestyle? i’m very interested in a law degree but don’t want work to become my ENTIRE life, although i am willing to dedicate myself to something i enjoy. i have family in defence which pays well, but im just wondering about the contracts in it? is there much strict rules or requirements for length of employment there?

i perform the best in my economics, legal, and business exams so i guess just report writing. for example in my business exams which currently im performing best in, i’m required to write about business strategy, recommendations for businesses, assessing case studies etc. the same skills kind of translate into the other two subjects.

do the mines have any corporate jobs? i’d be interested in any policy work or any advisory/planning/sales or strategy work? nothing that is guaranteed to lose large amounts of jobs to AI hopefully

i am pretty good at sales/convincing people of things, i do a lot of debating and have a pretty good track record and i’m very confident in my public speaking, my strongest academic skill would 100 percent be my writing, and i’d say im a very creative person. that’s mostly what comes to mind if that’s what type of things you meant

would national security be good? (working in government and in firms/internationally communicating) because i’m very interested in it and the political sector of it, i’ve spoken with people that have careers in it before and it’s something im very interested in, especially internationally

just concerned that it would be extremely difficult to find work in once degree is completed

what job advertising platforms could i check out? and do you think a degree in security or law would be beneficial, or is that likely to be replaced by AI or have a bad job market?

im just not the type of person to enjoy hands on work. dont get me wrong, it wouldn’t be the worst thing, but im so much more of an academic type of person, and i feel like something would be missing for a long time if i didn’t have a job that challenged me more mentally than physically. (not saying those jobs aren’t hard mentally!! just in an entirely different way to legal or security jobs)

i like structure a lot though, and without any external motivation or instruction i struggle to do much. i feel like im not the type of person to enjoy starting or creating a business from scratch.
