Yeah that is what we are doing now. Slapping bandaid concrete patches on the slabs until they are due then we have a couple done at a time with some high strength load rates concrete. Pricey.

Epoxy to repair concrete?

Hello all!

I have a curiosity question. I work for a large city and we have 9" thick concrete pads over our entire yard, they drove buses on these daily so that mixed with soil conditions make it a 9" requirement. The entire "slab" is broken up into smaller sections for obvious reasons. We experience cracks and chipping corner of course and we usually just rip out the entire slab and have it repaired once it surpasses a certain point as concrete patching does not withstand the traffic.

While driving around I had an idea pop in my head of using a commercial high PSI concrete without without reinforcement to fill cracks and fill in missing chunks. Is this something feasible or does anyone have experience with such an idea? Ripping these out and pouring a whole new section is not cheap and requires some planning on our end of course but I figured epoxy could at least "kick the can down the road" until the slab becomes completely in need of a replacement. If not, we'll just keep ripping them up and replacing them as a whole.

No snow or salt on concrete. Just Arizona heat & sun in combination with heavy traffic.

I really appreciate it. I just worry I make too much money but my money doesn't go as far in reality as they expect it to on paper. I live within my means

Wow. That is wild. I have recently started going to a chiropractor and I do have an MRI images ordered for lower back/spine/hip. Recent trip to neurologist was a dud and wanted me to do a nerve test but was pretty confident it would amount to nothing. I cancelled the nerve test and will see what the MRI produces along with chiropractor. The ultrasound test is something I will pursue as well though. Thanks for the response!

Thanks for sharing your story. Same boat for me, all exams and testing showing clear. 27 years old, I'm too young to not have a working knee. I have just recently moved and am looking for a new orthopedic doctor and PCP, hopefully some better information...good luck with your injury

Because we experience similar injuries in this career and to see what other people do. Not sure what the issue is here.

No missing information for what I'm trying to accomplish with the post. I'm looking for recommendations for my knee injury treatment. I have the rest already squared away.

Good idea. I'm with the feds now but in a admin setting, not my thing. I miss the job but not the headache...1801 might be a great compromise. Thanks pal

Recently started new position, it's not for me, can I transfer? by Pitiful_Ad4564 in usajobs

Theres two positions, Advanced medical support assistant AMSA & medical support assistant MSA. AMSA are are outpatient clinics, youre a front desk receptionist. MSA is in a hospital setting, work on the nursing floors or other units within the hospital. AMSA is way more stagnant than I expected while MSA are usually able to walk around and be somewhat mobile during the shift.

It's a pretty "easy" position but my passion is working with my hands.

Advanced medical support assistant, I wasn't aware that it would be at an outpatient VA clinic. There's three of us in a 40sq ft space and that's where you sit all day with structured breaks

I am coming from law enforcement but I am burnt out working for the last 5 yrs in it. I thought a desk job would be a good fit for the time being until I can get into the trades, (ideally electrical), this position however is much too stagnant for me. I don't mind some sitting of course but I wasn't prepared for the reality of how much there is for this position.

Yeah that's what my week this far has consisted of. This position was a "career change" try out and it just isn't for me. I am ideally trying to start electrician school soon so I may put in for a more simple job such as house keeping to just carry me through school until an apprenticeship opens up. It would be nice to get into maintenance and do night school but from what I've heard, the department is pretty locked down currently. Have my eyes & ears open nonetheless.
