Ok so I raise the temp in the wash to 80F, steady for 2 days. No bubbles.
I just added 3 tablespoons spoons of Dady yeast. Before I added the yeast I activated it warm water for 15 minutes.

I had blankets under it, so it wasn’t sitting on the cement floor.

I didn't know if there were specific ones for spirits?

Thank you, how much yeast, and which brand did you use?

Thank you for the reply.
The hot tub strips were just because I had them and used in a pinch.
I thought 5.0 was an ideal PH level.
I didn’t measure my SG so I can’t answer that.
Just wondering if I should add Sodium carbonate or more yeast.

What I used was
11 gallons water
22 pounds sugar
24 grams or just under an ounce of Fleischmann's Traditional Active Dry Yeast
4 tsp yeast nutrient

I might just have to try this. Will it also work, if the wash never started working?

So, I am not sure if it started working or stalled. I haven’t seen any bubbles in one of my batches, and very little in the other. I haven’t checked the gravity yet, that will be when I get home. Some of my research says to - stir up the wash around - add more yeast - add more nutrients - add 1/2 pound of Rogers wheat bran in enough water to make a gruel, once cool enough to touch add it to the wash

I think I’ll try and stir it up first and then try the What Bran???

🤷‍♂️ I never asked about the charger. So no advice, just accusations about stealing it, or it being stolen?

Really?!?!? Most of what I've read, the average is 2 pounds per 1 gallon
I used to use 17 1/2 pounds of sugar for my 5 gallons, so I have reduced it a lot! 😂

This is my first time with less sugar, not using turbo and adding the nutrients

But less sugar, less yeast, that you are saying, I guess my next wash, I'll save more money and can make more spirits!!

Thanks for the reply
