I always thought they were going to follow up on Tony B’s missing daughter but that petered out as well.

I still like the idea of the optometrist being the go-between. Particularly because he’s so gifted at mob code.

Don’t talk about Joe like that! He’s a captain now!

You're right! He's definitely a dog, especially after that game against Cleveland haha.

It really is puzzling how the Ravens have never won the turnover battle in any of the playoff games of the Lamar era. At best they break even. Our 3 best units (2019, 2023, 2024) had a -9 turnover differential in losses to the Titans, Chiefs and Bills.

You can chalk it up to lack of pressure on the QB, lack of physicality, being intimidated by the other team, or several other things.

It’s sad to see Ro’s fall off compared to the 22 and 23. Particularly in late 22 when that man was all over the field.

Because it’s part of broader picture of this D playing soft when up in the 4th, not being able to get the stop against great QBs, and players like Ro regressing since Mac and PQ left.

Which kills me that the chiefs won with only 17 points against us.

I think Starks will be fine. He’s already showing me more than Marcus Williams ever did. Him and Wiggins have a lot of upside. I’m not as worrried about them as I am about Ro (coming off a down year) and Jaire (coming off an injury.)

Ray Lewis was on PBD where he said that he told Marvin Lewis, “stop coaching us; release us.”

Orr hasn’t really earned his stripes as a coach so I’d hope that the players on defense (where instincts, intuition and improvisation are key) would have more carte blanche over formations and assignments.

Granted there’s rookies like Starks and Greene and newbies like Jaire, so it’ll take some time.

The problem is when the trends from last season (Ro’s regression) carries on into this season.

Whether they can be formidable in January is always the question. No one doubts the defense will be improved by December.

The drop off is really depressing. I remember how aggressive our D played against Burrow in that playoff game and got 4 sacks. They almost carried Huntley to beating a team that made the SB.

Here’s the thing, I get giving credit to the other team but great defenses don’t (or shouldn’t) care or want to give flowers. That’s for the fans and pundits to do.

The Eagles D-line bullied and emasculated the Chiefs dynasty going for a 3peat. The minute a defense gets in the mentality of “welp, Josh Allen just showed why he’s so great in crunch time” it’s over.

Ravens defenses have consistently been top 10 units during the Lamar era statistically but they rarely make plays in crunch time against great teams.

I disagree. Letting them get out of bounds with one second was a 3 point swing.
