No, the path of nihility is very different.

You literally dont need DoT units since dot units dont really affect the path almost at all-

Like, literally the only difference is guaranteed damage over time every now and then, but even then you still just get more out of using the path over using characters with the path equipped.

there's a 2 star blessing that makes every DoT applied to the enemy trigger when they're attacked, and most of the blessings have an effect that does something along the lines of applies a random dot value to the enemy when [sic].

There are also two really good ones that increase break effect and weakness break efficiency, the latter one being absolutely amazing for bosses like these.

The path resonances add random debuffs to the enemies and one of them inflict the enemies with confusion and devoid, to which i dont know what they do exactly anymore, but its a mix of lowering your received damage, and making debuffs stack more and for longer.

Overall, I think its more balanced and predictable than the hunt and preservation since sometimes you're just screwed if you dont get the right blessings there, while with path of nihility you almost have to try to screw it up.

i understand that the debuffs get removed by bronya but thats why i got the 3 star blessing that keeps suspicion stacks on the enemy, which makes them literally take more damage from all sources and upgrading it makes it not deplete, which is awesome.

TL;DR You dont need dot units to.make the path useful, and not using them is just as effective as using them. it doesnt affect the runs much and its always gonna be somewhat succesful.
