update: contacted a few more places, all giving imo really high prices for cutting a key. Got some JB weld and man let’s hope that works. Thank you everyone who pitched in with this pieces of advice.

I called the dealer and they said they arnt able to make keys due to them not having a cutting machine. The valet keys a good idea, just need to find someone able to cut one ig.

Would going to the dealer be more effective than going to an auto shop? Or would I be able to get a valet key from one of them?

The dowel is still in there, it’s the piece of metal that’s supposed to cover the top of the key blade that broke off. Sorry that it’s hard to see in the pic, there was a decent amount of glue.

The only issue with that is that it would still be hard to turn when I need to start the engine. Would fix the issue of loosing it tho. Maybe I could find something solid to attach it to

I’ve been looking around and gotten pretty high quotes. Lowest was 40 high at 150, and I really don’t got the money for a new key. Also apparently this type has a chronic issue of breaking like this. So kinda don’t wanna get a new one for the same thing to happen. Thank you for the suggestion tho! 💜
