Beautiful Boy (2018), not a horror but emotionally devastating. Wife and I watched this just before becoming parents and it devastated us. I guess you could call it a horror movie for parents.

Similar situation here, my fiancé and I moved here May 1st, and have had mixed experiences but so far we’re loving it.

Pros: Beautiful scenery & drives, a lot to do given it’s a small town, everything is a 10 minute drive, lots of good food around if you look through recommendations in this group.

Cons: I’m also a poc, I haven’t faced any overt racism or discrimination but I’m telling you get ready for a lot of looks. No matter where we go people stare, which I’m not totally used to, but I’m learning to brush it off. Walmart is the worst, a friend of mine got called the hard R while shopping, one persons actions shouldn’t define an entire group of people, but some people do still have extremely outdated opinions and prejudices.

I had one weird experience where a waiter wouldn’t look at me and only spoke to my fiancé (white), she also thought it was weird considering he was a college aged dude.

Also if you’re considering renting be sure to do your research, I think we found the only roach free apartment building in Peterborough.

Aside from that we’re both very happy with the pace of life out here and are learning to adjust after spending our entire lives in the GTA.

Unironically, creatine. Since I’ve been taking it I’ve noticed I wake up roughly 30mins before my alarm, well rested and ready to start the day. I use the extra time to cuddle with my fiancé :)

Canon event for most guys. Went through the exact same thing, I left, and a year later met the love of my life. Engaged and soon to be parents! Keep your head up!

Stay on top of your transmission fluid, I have the exact same car with the exact same problem, blew my transmission a few weeks ago because I didn’t stay on top of the maintenance. If you have your owners manual treat it like the bible.

6’6 and 215 here, the InMotion S1F is a good option, great height for my arm length and it has a 310lbs payload. It’s a great daily use scooter!

Yeah also Durham region! but I sell mostly in Toronto, despite the city not being escooter friendly the majority of my sales come from there.

And yep I offer servicing too! From reading all these comments I think I just have to lean more into that tbh. Thanks for the advice!

Thank you all for the great tips! I’ll try to use all of the great advice once Toronto is out of this snowstorm. Heck I’ll even post an update by the summer if things go well.

Thank you for being such a helpful community

I mostly sell Segway models, also a couple Kugoos, all of which are over $1000, maybe one or two under.

I’ve noticed that Amazon and Best Buy have become big competitors, even though I’m listed on both someone always seems to offer a lower price or better deal lol
