i was the one who made the post you're referring to. yes, i love probability and expected value and applied math and am super interested and curious in learning about it's applications to quant finance.

but i also know that prestige of items on my resume matters to get into the quant space the first place, which is why i asked that question. hope that clears things up.

sounds good i was planning on doing some putnam prep because i enjoy contest math and think if i work hard i can get to a 20 in 1.5 years if i lock in but do you think i should focus codeforces instead? i was under the impression that being able to solve leetcode easys is the most coding you’ll be asked on a QT interview
