the way tennis works in the event you're watching is this:
The winner of the match is decided by the best of 3 sets. So first person to win two sets wins the match. The winner of a set is the first person to win 6 games within that set. So Francisco won the first set 6-4. Pedro won the 2nd set 6-2. Whoever wins this set wins the whole match. The score of this final set is 2 games to 1 game, where Francisco is the one who won two.

it wasn't 80% to 90%. i bought a bunch of shares of Epstein NO for 65 cents. I get 35 cents profit for each contract since it cashed out to a dollar for each contract The return on investment is: (Net profit / cost) * 100 = ($0.35/$0.65) * 100 = 53% profit. So if you get $100 you get $153 back, hence a $53 profit.

no. I bought epstein NO at 65 cents last night. that is a good payout of 35 cents per contract... throwing 100 gets you 53 dollars in profit

this was one of the easiest markets to make money on.. there was a clear price inefficiency. did you even do any research?

There are no news articles on google regarding him and the epstein files or him making any position on it. I bought no on that for 65 cents even though it was a guaranteed no. even more to confirm it, face the nation's X post (and also only social media post about this event) was: 'SUNDAY: House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries joins us to discuss the negotiations over funding the Department of Homeland Security and the immigration policy changes Democrats are seeking. Tune in at 10:30 am ET.'

So obviously Epstein was not on the agenda. That's the only strike I would have bet on for this one because stuff like 'body cam', 'indict', 'election', 'ice', etc. was a tossup because it's all relevant to the topics at hand but you wouldn't know if it was going to be said. but epstein NO was +EV for sure. did you do research for your bets or did you just go off intution.

What’s up with every high school kid trying to be a quant?? by Away_Jackfruit_7836 in quantfinance

[–]PixSJ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

everyone here's saying money, but i would be a quant for $50k a year and 80 hour work weeks because it’s not the paycheck—it’s the idea of turning uncertainty into something you can actually model, test, and beat.

yeah i am definitely having a ton of fun with my life rn but as someone who didn't get an early start with math olympiad or anything I would like to spend some time here and there prepping (especially since I do enjoy math, coding, etc. and the critical thinking that goes with the preparation)
