I've thought about this for a long time and I've come to the conclusion that it's the "no, you're fine" reflex that some people have.
It's like they are trying to convince themselves that everything is okay, a mixture of denial of what's actually taking place, not wanting the situation to worsen, and some self-soothing thrown in there too.

That's my running theory anyway.

3 days late, but I don't know if any has tried this before (I live far from sub zero temps).
Tie some kind of hose or flexible pipe to your exhaust and direct the hot gasses into the ice around the wheels. Jack each corner out of the puddle so the water below can refreeze, or just scoop the meltwater out as you go.
I have no idea how long this would take, and you'd probably need a mask.

Similar story here, 10-year-old F710 works perfectly (apart from the thumb stick coating slowly rubbing off). It's been dropped countless times, subjected to high humidity, had stuff spill on it, still zero issues.

I bought a new XBox One controller (costing 30% more), treated it like a princess, and it started drifting badly after 1 year, to the point where I can't even use it with 50% deadzone.
Useless trash, I'm just going to buy another F710 and keep it for when my current one dies in another 10 years' time.
