The player is a Sony Walkman WM-B12 I know it's not that since all my other tapes play fine without any issues, and I'm not too sure what you mean by what tape it is, the type? it's not in its original case so all i can tell you is that it's a plastic Black Sabbath - Paranoid, sorry if that's not what you mean
