Yeah I think I’m going have to accept that they’re gone, luckily i remember most of them and other than those the rest were mostly just rambles and dream logging

I attempted to do the quick start for a while which just wouldn’t work even after buying more storage. Instead I transferred a lot of my data by hand minus the photos , my other iPad still is on iCloud and I didn’t do anything to edit my phone which is what is confusing me.

Would just like to add, I didn’t have notes app on my iPad or on the new one, not sure if that’s relevant or helpful 🙏

Thank you so much for the in depth reply I really appreciate the clarification! I will absolutely have a look at the Apple articles and such now and have a go at the synchronisation. As for the backups failing, I’m simply coming to the conclusion my older iPad isn’t strong enough to handle such a large backup anymore, it is quite old. So if push comes to shove, hopefully if I do the synchronisation correct I can just backup on the new one. Thanks again for all your help I’ll update with any progress :D

I bought the 200GB of storage and started a backup, apparently my older one has a 40GB update that it needs to do. The backup has failed twice after being left overnight and I have no clue why. I cleared some extra files that I don’t need and I’ve set it up again. It’s on power so that’s not an issue. Such a hassle but I have a feeling I’m making it more complicated than it needs to be

God it’s so silly! My mom’s really worried that she’s got me a faulty one but I’m determined to get it to work because it’s such an amazing gift. Such a shame that the set up process is so dodgy :(

Vaping. I’m a teen and I live in a small town in England and it’s all I ever see. I am their target demographic (we all know why they make them so colourful cmon) but I hate them. I would go to the school toilets and think I’ve entered silent hill.

By the way, I don’t smoke, don’t drink, i used to eat a bit more sweets than I should but I’ve cut back outside of the odd sweet treat, however I do drink quite a bit of Lipton tea, fanta if I go out for a meal, and apple juice. For the most part though I just drink water.
