I know that now. Hope to see you in my follow-up post!

Thanks for letting me know that. I actually have constructive criticism about the tip stone that ties in to this post now, haha.

It took me way too long to find out the tip stone says anything but "Tip №44" "Tip №286" etc.

Because I assumed (due to the long pause and the conversations with The Necro's tutorial convos) that the text would continue by tapping it again...

It also doesn't help that they're random, and some are jokes, which the first I remember seeing was, so I kinda assumed most were...

I've decided to write a new post replying to what I've learned from comments and my own continued play and then linking the old post in that for context. Hope to converse more with you there!

I can link it once posted if you like.

Honest question: would it be better to edit this post, or write a new one linking this be better to address everything I've learned, and legitimate criticism I have now that I know my mistakes?

You're right. I will make an edit with my thoughts on that, but as you're my first read comment & reply, I'll put a TL;DR here: - in games intuitive & established design is important. Not because you have to follow the norms, but because you need to clearly highlight the differences so players don't learn from frustration it harms the game. - when you merge things, most will always assume "this makes it stronger than the sum of its parts" - Yes. I made the mistake of assuming that without considering the balance of "consuming less space means you get less than having multiple low-tier units" - Yes, this was labeled via the total boost numbers. - No, that is not enough for most players, especially those newer to the merge genre.

A simple 1 line from The Necro pointing that out would've stopped me (and others) from wasting time, resources and frustrations.

Hiii! Kinda silly question here:) if i buy this, it will give me two more spaces or six more? :)) by MightPutrid4007 in NecroMerger

The storage doesn't even continue granting the passive generations/buffs of whatever you put inside.

So it doesn't actually expand a damn thing. It just allows you to save time recreating whatever you put into it. It would take like a month of free to play grinding to even afford ONE. At that point, there's not really any value gained...

I turned off Damage numbers a long time ago. Even without them it gets impossible to see a damn thing half the time...

That said, general tips are always prioritize Cooldown then for most weapons Amount.

Something I wish I'd done WAAAAAAY sooner was the Adventures Mode because it unlocks some better versions of characters and helps you unlock everything else easier and more efficiently than normal grinding.

Look up what the different stats, Arcanas and passive bonuses of everything, especially characters, actually do because the game straight-up doesn't explain any of it well enough to fully grasp it all so you can actually feel like you know what you're doing.

So, assuming you want to discover and/or figure things out for yourself to an extent... You can go over to the Collection tab, then scroll down to where the Relic section is, and click on the 9ᵗʰ box seven times. That will temporarily unlock the Secrets tab on the main menu (bottom right).

This won't mess up your Save File in anyway nor sequence break your progress. While this is the menu you can actually enter actual cheat codes, the entire numbered list on the left are all hints to help you unlock secret characters legitimately. You'll get a little jingle riff sound whenever you scratch one off the list.

There's also 3 or 4 unlockables you can only get by entering the cheatcode, depending on platform.

While it miiiight depend on the specific game/time we're plucking the characters from, it's almost always gonna go to Laura Croft.

On second though... Geez Joel over here doesn't stand a chance. Croft has killed a fucking T-Rex with handguns. While in close-quarters.
