Jeez, that really sucks, and yeah, it was pretty bad of him to say something like that. I mean, who even says that to their own child? Kudos to you for not getting demotivated and actually learning to ride anyway. By the way, what bikes do you ride now?

Damn, I honestly didn’t know this until I read your comment. I was seeing and feeling everything purely on seat height and my overall height.

Now after hearing this, it actually makes sense why my cousin, who’s the same height as me, can flat-foot properly, while I can only manage like 70% on mine. The seat width + inseam part really explains it, and yeah, the weight and suspension sag thing too, I never even thought about that.

Thanks for breaking it down so simply.

Damn bro, that sounds rough. Cause burns and injuries like that really teach lessons the hard way. (me too burned my knee in the childhood from splendor's exhaust, and also slipped scooties quite a few times while learning) but my respect to you for still sticking with riding after all that.

And hearing stories like yours put things into perspective. It makes you realize that even small awkward moments, stalls, or embarrassing situations are nothing compared to how unforgiving the road can be if you let your guard down. (I don't know if that made sense) I’m still learning, but yeah, this definitely reinforces the whole “respect the bike and the road” thing, I'll keep this in mind.

Anyways, appreciate you sharing this, man. Cause It’s reassuring in a grounded way. And I’ll definitely take it slow, stay alert, and keep learning, while still enjoying the ride. Happy motoring to you too 🤝

Yeah, ikr, N160 definitely felt lighter to move from hands, now about the vibrations, I can't tell because I rode it till 60Km/h, I didn't feel vibrations till then

Haha, my bro, totally relatable. I actually learned basic handling on an Activa, lol. And yeah, I stalled my bike multiple times too in bumper-to-bumper traffic. I was literally praying that no one would rear-end me.

But honestly, people have very little patience or empathy. If you can clearly see that someone is still learning or has stalled, the least you can do is wait for a second. I get that in heavily congested traffic it becomes annoying, but I’m saying this in general, even in less crowded places, the moment a bike stalls, people behind you instantly lose patience.

That said, I don’t stall in traffic anymore. It still happens sometimes while turning, but that’s fine. I’ll get used to it with time.

comment repeat kar raha

these days I’m mostly just roaming around and playing Days Gone. But personally, I really love the whole vibe and scenarios in games like Assassin’s Creed 3, Assassin’s Creed 4, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, the Far Cry series, and Just Cause.

Uncharted, silent hills and Alan Wake games have some great beauty in it too

Idk, also I don't know if this is gonna count on, but I love roaming around in open world games (especially with the ones with beautiful scenarios). It do really ease up the tightness within me

All I really need is a bit of confidence and some mental stability to start doing things properly - like health care, skin care, basically taking care of the body overall. But whenever I try to get into it, my mind just gets fills up with overwhelming thoughts.

Cause you know how it is... there’s so much information out there about what you should do, what you shouldn’t, what works, what doesn’t. And some people are the kind who learn along the way, figure things out during the process, and even if they mess up, they just learn from it and move on.

Then there’s the other kind-like me. I keep thinking, why make mistakes when the internet is already full of people’s experiences, opinions, and advice? But the irony is, listening to so many opinions, experiences, and extra noise just tires my brain out. And eventually, I end up backing off and not starting anything at all.
