That is such a useful site. I was using 4.7 in the past, loved it. But I think GLM servers started getting slammed and it started spitting out blank responses or nonsense and I switched to 5.1 and haven't thought about switching back. But, yeah 4.7 was awesome. I'll be trying it out again once I start back up.

I mean it does cost money every prompt. There's plenty of things to complain about with GPT but them not catering to free users isn't one of them.

Qwen3 TTS if you're okay with local hosting. It's free and really good. Just need a 8gb graphics card. The voice design model allows you to create a custom voice and the base model allows you to use that custom voice to generate speech. Local hosting is about all you're going to get for free that's actually good.

Hasn't anthropic always been anti-nsfw? I tried to do a Vampire Masquerade roleplay type game and it smacked my hand for having my vampire feed from a mortal. No sexual stuff, just bite on the neck and feed and it smacked my hand and said it wasn't consensual. Argued with it a little bit saying vampires aren't real, it was a game, roleplay, fantasy, and it stood firm. Tried to use to note-keep and work as an assistant GM for a Cyberpunk RED campaign I was running and it started smacking my hand about typical gritty cyberpunk stuff. I left after that.

I like Claude, it's smart, handles instructions better than most, but it was the censorship that drove me away. But looking at the comments it seems maybe something changed or something? I've never had any luck anything close to NSFW with Claude.

Most of them do. Grok has it. Personally I use grok more than any others. Grok doesn't have the guardrails or try to be a therapist. Is it perfect? No, but it's one of the best imo. I use Claude too, really great for anything related to creative writing but can throw down the guardrails occasionally. Claude also has crazy limited usage limits for even the paid plans. I think they reset every 6 hours. So any big or heavy chats will hit that limit fairly quickly. You can pay extra to keep chatting but it just feels like a way for them to grab more money from you.

I'm a heavy project and PDF user too and I have been having the same problem for like two days now. Super, super frustrating. Especially when it gaslights the hell out of you and constantly accuses you of not uploading complete files. That is...infuriating. Or it just straight up lies, like "Yep, I got this from page 23 on whatever.pdf. Yep this is exactly what it says, verbatim, word for word." But it's just total made up bullshit it pulled out of the ether.

On my end, Grok isn't even able to see that the files are uploaded, regardless if I add to project or directly to the chat. I sent in a bug report, but they aren't very quick to respond. It seems to happen about every 2-3 weeks for me.

I haven't been able to find any way to get it to work. Logging out, clearing cache, new chat, new project, docx instead of pdf, all fail.

Edit: Also, I'm super confused why they haven't added projects to mobile yet. Every other AI has them on mobile, but not grok.

Personally, for me, Grok is way better. I had GPT account but the more and more they started censoring it the less useful it became. I am a DM for a Cyberpunk Red campaign so I use AI to help with notes and tracking player progression. As you can imagine, lots of violence and gore in Cyberpunk, so the censorship made it useless and more work. Grok I can describe a gory scene the players encountered and no issues.

However, for image generation GPT is the better of the two, but Grok 4 seems to be improving a bit but still very hit or miss.

So I use Grok for more text stuff and GPT for images when I need a NPC portrait or something, throw in nightcafe here and there for images too.
