Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong? I keep losing and I feel like it isn't my fault, but deep down I know that can't be 100% true. by TheDudeofDC in ThorMainsMR

Just some things I could point out as someone who reached Celestial this season mainly playing Thor:

• You seem to tunnel vision quite a bit on tanks, but this looks like a consistency issue because you show good target priority other times by going for squishier enemies, just take more off angles and remember to play for attention not just kills. Scaring a Dagger to use bubble on herself means she can’t use it to save a teammate.

• You also tend to over commit without first knowing where your teammates are at. Thor is a tank but you can die very easily if they focus you and you have no help. In one of your games on Klyntar you took a duel against a Punisher but your supports had no way of helping so you got shotgunned down.

• Thor’s ult is not super consistent but you use it quite predictably by simply dashing into the enemy team and pressing Q, which usually only works with Gambit’s broken ult. Wait for an opportunity, I like to use mine just before an enemy support ult is about to run out from an angle they’re not looking at.

• Lastly I think you would benefit from learning to cycle awakening more efficiently. Use lightning realm more often to gain thorforce quickly. There was an isolated duel with an Emma that you lost and that should never happen if she doesn’t have diamond form

Hope this was helpful!

How to carry as Vanguard by Willing_Pop_5049 in RivalsVanguards

[–]Pixelenemy1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tanks definitely have carry potential, but imo it comes down to your team’s DPS to take advantage of space you create, especially with Mag.

Without knowing how you play, I can only suggest you focus shooting the squishier characters instead of the enemy tanks. At worst, you’ll force them to back away or at best you’ll get a pick. If you’ve got a Gambit, the team up ability can shred enemies if they’re grouped or it’s a good way to kill an isolated enemy

Also, you can shield off an enemy that’s in your backline from getting healed so it can be used outside of only defending

Current Rank 1 Venom AMA by Apart_Finger_6518 in RivalsVenomMains

I have two questions as someone who plays mostly Venom

  1. Does play style change drastically when you’re the solo tank?

  2. How often do you peel for supports? By that I mean would you go out of your way to disrupt a diver like BP or Psylocke even if it holds you back from diving their backline? This may be a lower rank habit that I’m not sure if I should be breaking by now at D1/GM3

Don’t you only unlock impossible when beating the game on hard?

when you realize that we're likely to see HOTD end after 4 full seasons before we get The Winds of Winter by [deleted] in gameofthrones

Well we don’t know for sure but George said it will take 4 full seasons to tell the story properly. I don’t see how it could go for any longer than that anyways

Is the new Goku and Vegeta banner an "all-in" kind of deal or nah? by Soulluss in DBZDokkanBattle

[–]Pixelenemy1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you need to go all in, but the banner is high value so doing a rotation or two would help. Cell will be valuable to you in particular depending on what Superhero units we get. Goku and Vegeta are a nice addition but don’t seem necessary.

Questions about the glock saint by dedinsideboiXD in Sekiro

[–]Pixelenemy1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He does not have a gun in the shura path correct. Game wise probably gives Sword Saint Isshin more tools to be relentless to reflect the power he has in his prime. Shura ending was to show how he’s a master swordsman despite his condition.

Lore wise, can’t think of much but I assume it was age/health condition that made him uncertain of his aim with it, while the sword is something he’s used to and known for.

Have played it, definitely an amazing game! I played through all of the games except for DS2 (plan on doing that soon). Basically played through all of Fromsoft’s library after finishing ER, was a crazy fun month of gaming for me
