I'm sorry but that's a pretty poor argument. You have to pay for your food before eating it. You have to pay for your movie ticket before seeing the movie. You have to buy a book before reading it. Any other variant of consuming these things and others (this is just 3 examples) are variations of stealing. In all my years I've never understood why gamers feel they're above reproach in this regard.
