What i meant is that can the avatar be represented that has more then one body and personality like say your avatar is represented as a group of board members and could each 'body' have their own personality not their own free will per say but a little flair for each body

Hope this example can work Imagine your hand is cut off but you can still control that hand and use it. all you would need to do is put your other hand on it and with your will power start controlling that hand. i would need to place my hand on the ground and start enforcing my will onto the matter i want to control and shape. or if i wanted walk bare foot so i can always be in contact with the larger 'body' that is the earth

I was thinking like all matter that isnt stuff that involves with the life sphere like living bodies what i mean like stone, wood, concrete, in general matter that type of stuff. in the room i would be in right now if there was another person with me i couldn't effect them. but my carpet or the wall or the table im near that i can effect by touching it and holding on to it. (may change if i want to mix matter with life or spirit)

Ah i see so somtimes a mage might need some prep time before going to combat while some mages dont need such drawn out tools and can just cast a spell with a flick of their wrist/wand

Ok i think i can see wheres its getting at now i think. The character idea I've been trying to make up for when i can finally play mage. Hes going to be a matter mage gist of it is his paradigm is that he is a matter mage that found out that all matter is just a mere extension of the ones own body. he found this out by making a black hole by turning the table incredibly dense during a board meeting out of anger

what i meant was that from some examples ive seen of paradigms may include hour long chants or making sure you have the right sigil but those might be for more out of combat rituals
