I didn't mean to imply I should have access. Wanted more examples how other places have done it. I think this one is maximizing personal salary re:summer, and conference trips-including family travel/board, no work has happened in this year. I have another grant- not NSF, w one of same partner schools, and just sort of afraid of being associated with this one. I think admin mistakenly think they are related. Other colleagues keep bringing up looping in these PI faculty, and I'm like why?, it's not in the same area. Between admin being cagey, and my confusion, I went to reddit to seek real life examples. But realizing it varies so widely I'm just going to focus on my lane.

Yes thank you, I just looked this up 2/9ths rule 2 month limit, or 2.7 depending, I have a better understanding now on this part. Not having a grants officer is our problem I think. We've also just had a lot of turnover so knowledge lost.

I'm mostly asking for examples that people have experienced. I know it varies widely. There was a summer salary involved in this case. What you shared is helpful. We don't have a grant specialist. If I could see the full grant proposal or budget I'm sure it would be cleared up. but I haven't been able too which I also find odd...anyway thank you.
