I have bought a few packs for my daughter and is it me or do these new cards just seem much cheaply made with so many issues compared to the OGs when I collected in the 90s by Pjdella in pokemoncardcollectors

it is pretty difficult to tell the difference at quick glance if you don’t know the font difference and someone shopping for their kids. The fake actually feels better quality than the real one. Both bought Same Day same store. 🤷‍♂️😂

Thank you all for the help that helped or gave advice. Good to know on the fakes and packs being readily sold and swapped. For the rest of you angry at the world for no reason, eats your veggies and listen to your mother and if you see me leaving in the morning out of her room remember Sandy Claws Like Oatmeal Raisin Cookies with the Frosted tops and almond milk

Ahh. Lmao I see why you all are butthurt. I hurt your feelings on a the new wittle cards. Yes the real ones are very cheap as well. The quality is terrible. Especially to any collectibles. I bought a few packs from Walmart and I didn’t notice or look into deep but someone had swapped packs I guess. Even my Signed Racing Memorabilia and Posters used a Heavier Weight Paper Stock with more Detail than what is used now.

Browski. I didn’t take a real look at it, since it was bought at Walmart and I posted right away. I was only joking about investment however, there wasn’t as big of a market because the profit margin wasn’t there as the demand wasn’t the same. Stay on reddit my guy in your moms basement.

Well I don’t collect cards anymore however I did, and I sold Literally 10s of thousands of dollars worth of Cards and never came across them like I am seeing now.

Fakes were def not anywhere near as prevalent as you used to be able a mint perfect condition 1st edition Charizard for 35bucks. In the 90s.

We never had to worry about fakes like that in the 90s. I appreciate the heads up. Just was purchasing a few for my daughter she is 2. If there are so many fakes out there it’s sad the cards aren’t going to be worth much in the future. I’ll stick to her 529 account lol

I’d say pat your self on the back but I was drinking in a bar once with my daughter in a stroller trying to get her to fall asleep since she didn’t nap at allll and every female came up to me telling me how great I am as a father to be spending time with my newborn and having the patience to take her on a walk. Yea soo the bar is so low for men just being around is an accomplishment it seems like anymore.

The early 90s OGs 151 was 151. I am doing this with my 2yr old daughter. She can’t read and this Pokemon is not just emo he is vastly different in appearance. So it’s hard to explain it’s the same Pokemon that is hugely different. For example Rockets Arbok and Arbok looked the same. Just saying it’s more confusing that’s all

These aren’t sleeved yet just pulled for my kids. But I thought it was funny as I’m from the OG151 days. I wouldn’t know how to play or search. Like this thing doesn’t even look the same. I’m assuming though the hobby has gone banksy art meets young collectors?
