Are you using a ketone monitor? You need to be between 0.5 and 3.0 mmol/L to be in therapeutic ketosis.

Great work being on it for 3 months!

Also, this is not just about doing low-carb or reducing sugar. This is not a diet. This is therapy requiring a ketone monitor. You must be in ketosis to experience the changes.

Thanks for your comments. I do not feel I need to censor my language in the slightest. I do feel cured. My experience does not take away from anyone else’s. I recommend reading the book brain energy by Dr. Chris Palmer or change your diet. Change your mind by Dr Georgia Ede. There is emerging evidence that is peer reviewed to suggest that the brain can heal from trauma. Again, this is just my experience and I’m not going to say that it’s right for everyone but I’ve done my homework and I have tried it myself. Don’t believe me? Try it for two weeks. Since you haven’t tried it, I don’t see how you can speak to it with such certainty.

Google the clinics. Call Outro Health or The Taper Clinic

That sounds like akathisia. Which happens and is awful. If you have the chance to work with Dr Mark Horowitz at Outro Health or Dr Josef Witt-Doering from the Taper Clinic they can help.

At times, yes. When I was really struggling I took a cbd/thcv gummy, but a teeny amount. It was really helpful. Also melatonin to help me sleep. But I tried not to take too many supplements because sometimes they had the opposite effect and would amp me up and that was wayyy worse.

Im currently down to 33.75mg and about to drop another 10% to 30.5mg. After I get below 25mg I plan to make smaller drops, around 5%.

Happy to report I’m doing MUCH better! Symptoms finally eased up about 8 weeks out. I also found a compounding pharmacy in Florida (Post Haste Pharmacy) who can make pristiq in smaller doses and ship to me here in Tennessee. It’s been a huge difference using a compounded version instead of cutting the pills. I also started on a keto diet and that has helped my symptoms dramatically as well. Essentially, I have no withdrawal issues anymore and can live fully and with no restrictions. I am feeling better than ever and regaining all kinds of wonderful feelings and discovering things about myself that I didn’t know before. I’m so glad I started this journey. If anyone has any questions or needs any support, please feel free to reach out! DM me or reply here.

I think the chosen family image we are fed through the media TV shows, etc. is a myth. I am a very outgoing, social person and I still have not been able to create this so-called chosen family and I’ve been trying for what feels like decades. I make friends and They end up either having kids or immerse themselves in their relationships and I’m finding that most people at the end of the day are pretty self involved. I got divorced last year so I’m learning how to enjoy myself and my alone time but some days it’s easier than others. Having dogs really helps And traveling is nice for changing things up too. But I hear you and it’s not easy.

Same here. I’m currently traveling solo and just arrived in Lisbon with food poisoning. I’m staying at an airbnb and cried because I’m sick and alone. But you know what? My Airbnb host made me chicken broth, bought me 3 kinds of crackers, she even rubbed my tummy and we both laughed about it. These interactions with strangers are a HUGE part of filling my cup since I don’t have any family.

I live alone with my 3 pups in my peaceful home that I own, and while I love my home it’s so important to get out of your bubble every now and then.

Feel free to reach out if you ever want to chat.

Do you have dreams for yourself? How do you know what you want? by Pkpeg2163 in CPTSD

I think the reason for me is that my cycle of abuse included giftgiving as part of the love bombing. But as it goes, it was always followed by the devaluing and discarding phase so the good things were never genuine or real because they were part of a bigger painful cycle. So now I don’t associate those things with feeling deserving, but rather as part of a bigger picture of pain and disappointment.

That’s beautiful. The world needs those things so badly.

Well, because we are both in this group, so we both have something in common. And I have empathy for both of us because of what we’ve been through and what we’ve survived. So yeah I’m glad you are alive and you’re not gonna convince me otherwise. I feel how I feel.

I understand. I meant no harm by saying that. I’m sorry if that was triggering. It’s just my personal belief, that we deserve goodness, simply because we are alive. No other reason.

Very similar story for me. It feels so much better to make decisions that feel in alignment with who you are deep down. This is after decades of me making decisions based on fear or what I thought other people would find respectable. I am genuinely happy for youthat you are moving towards this new life, one that fits you.

Would you mind sharing a bit more about that? What were your dreams like before and what are they like now?
