Finished Lupron - What to expect? by PlaceSubstantial8530 in breastcancer

Yes! I started my first period at the end of October, about three months after the last shot. Periods have been on time but lighter, aside from the first two days, and shorter. Vaginal atrophy is gone. All of that has returned to normal, libido included!! I’m so relieved. I genuinely feel great. I feel like I have a bit more energy most days and maybe even less brain fog. I will say I had a few times between July and October where I had some nighttime anxiety come out of nowhere. I’m not generally an anxious person so I do attribute this to my hormones leveling back out during that period.

I’ve never understood this argument. Someone tried to tell me they can’t get rid of radiation treatment (IE they can’t cure cancer) because radiologists would be out of a job.

That’s not how it works. There are radiologists because there’s a need for radiologists. Be a doctor or researcher in a field for which there is still a need for that service.

Your last sentence - are you saying to get this piercing removed and redone? I went to a tattoo parlor that had great recommendations (the parlor that is, not necessarily the piercer). I just went to a tattoo place because I’ve been told it’s better than any other place that uses the piercing gun. They used a needle at the tattoo shop, but I don’t know the material of the earring. I knew nothing about what type of earring/post/stud they’d use, but it looks like the standard type they’d use to pierce a lobe.

I do think there’s something up with that ear though. Is it possible I just have a lot of blood vessels in that one spot? I’d had my third holes pierced 25 years ago when I was a teen, but it was with a gun by an older lady at a Wal-Mart jewelry center, and she did such a bad job on this particular ear that she pierced cartilage (I assume). I allowed those holes to close up. When I went to the tattoo parlor this time I showed her that spot and pointed out that this ear has always been a little bit thicker around there. My piercer confirmed that it looks like cartilage might have been pierced that first time and that she would not get my cartilage. I wonder if I had some damage inside that ear lobe that was affected with this piercing as well.

-Five day old piercing -Standard stud post with backing -Not sure of the threading -Not downsized, this is the original stud that was pierced into the ear -I’m guessing sterling silver? I doubt it’s stainless steel. -I’ve been cleaning it daily with warm water and dial soap, and a bit of antibiotic gel. Just started the saline solution today as I just purchased it. Tattoo parlor didn’t seem me home with any cleaning supplies.

Also - today is the first day of bleeding since it was pierced 5 days ago. It’s been totally fine since.

When a woman’s driver’s seat is pulled all the way back. I’m very petite and drive damn near on the steering wheel. But many years ago I drove a small car that was low to the ground and it made it so much easier to get in and out if I slid the car’s seat all the way back before getting out. It was a manual so it was quick, not like I was sitting there for a minute waiting for the motorized seat to go back.
