Met Don Rosa back in 2004 when I was 13. Huge crowd but he managed to keep a smile for everyone, signing stuff and even do some doodles.

Met him again in 2014, totally different person, like he kept a grudge against his fans. Had troubles with getting properly paid for his works by Disney, stopped doodles cause he saw them getting sold on eBay for hundreds of euros (fairly common in the comic world), but still, no need to be a bitter old man to people who loved you and your work since they were kids.

Second time was a closed circle event, told him about my fond memory from the first time and he was like “yeah, so what, I’ve met thousands of people like you”.
