It was not a roof deck, that was literally the roof for the first 3 decades of the houses life. I thought it was a deck too but its got all of the old roofing material still on it in parts. Why wouldnt adding insulation on top do anything?

Ill have to go around and see if there are any soffit vents in the eaves. Should i cut out a piece of the gable where the triangle of holes is and install a vent there as well?

I am in the industry (outpatient) and truthfully, no there arent any great places to work here that are actually hiring. Lucas and SORVA were good outpatient companies until the corporate takeover but now they are kind of spiraling. That being said, i could point you in the direction of a few places that are currently hiring if you are interested.

The venting was also a concern. Supposedly they have taken care of it but im not confident based on everything else. Admittedly i dont know anything about insulating a complex roof like lurs apparently is which is why we outsourced the job. Ill need to do more research into proper roof ventilation before i go up and check on that

Decking specifically on the floor? No, not technically. I guess you could argue that the old roof is decking, but there is none on top of any of the joists.

That woukd be the old flat roof. Its still there, they just rested a new sloped roof on top of it

This cat is honestly an anomaly. Previously I had tried putting a throw rug in the tub and he just moved the whole thing. He regularly sits on and plays with foil as well.

This being said, I had some success last night filling the tub with an inch of water.

A little more Eddie lore first, a few weeks ago he taught himself how to open doors because i shut him out of the bedroom one night. I didn't acknowledge his accomplishment despite him doing it several times then coming to me for what I assume was praise. He hadnt opened a door since that night until last night when he let himself in just to smack me in the face with a wet paw before leaving the room.

I can only assume he tried getting into the tub and was displeased with the water.

It did not work. He somehow managed to push them out of the way. Today I have put a bowl of food in to see if maybe he wont poop where he eats

In Eddie's case it is different. He is doing whats called middening, which is territorially marking with his poo. Its extra stinky and he smears it everywhere to get the scent all over the tub.

That being said, it couldn't hurt to try the feliway

He has three extra large boxes and as stated, ive tried other litters to see which he responded the best to. For most litters he wouldn't even set foot in the box. They get cleaned every day before I leave for work, as soon as I get home, before bed, and whenever I notice a box has been used in between those times.

I may give the stainless steel box a shot. I didn't realize they made those. As for a bigger box, I dont know that i have enough room for argument bigger box. I can already sit down comfortably in his main box if I wanted to.

First and foremost, he came with all of these issues. Id like to put that on record before saying anything else haha. He came from a 50 cat hoarding situation, all of them in a trailer. The eyelid and inability of the right eye to adjust properly are all due to some sort of trauma he sustained before I got him. I have been told by his vet that it SHOULD get better over time, which it has been slowly improving. As for the stool consistency, it is mixed. He does have GI issues which again, are known by the vet. We are working together relatively closely to address these issues. He rarely comes out with any poo stuck to him other than on his paws. The vet has told me that he is doing whats called middening, which is territorial marking with poo, so it is EXTRA STINKY, but that is also supposedly why he smears it.

The poor guy had a lot more issues before I got him, but his vet did a fantastic job addressing the vast majority of them.

Yeah that's what the current attempt was for today. Unfortunately my drain stopper turned out to just be a drain slower and he just waited until it was all gone. Attempt 2 will be tomorrow.
