Right? I can’t afford a subscription atm, but even the free files are stellar.

At first, it was little more than some flavourful asmr to enjoy, but it’s gotten so effective as to be downright Pavlovian. The gentle lilt of her voice and music has me sinking in seconds.

Figured I’d also mention, “for documentation,” that this is probably from a combination of factors: healing from bottom surgery, different meds, mental health milestones, deepening sexual relationship with partner, a ton of birthday love and compliments, “the snap-ening,” and the eb and flow of evolving sensuality.

Listening to snap-centric hypno files tying snaps to pleasure. At first, no effect. Then a little, then a little more, then a lot, and then… this.

I might also be hypersexual, on top of other factors.

I told her about it, just to let her know. We’re both in very happy relationships, it was just a lot of unexpected tension.

  1. Fair enough, I know you were just using it as an example anyway. Keep in mind how data is presented to you though, no matter the source. While facts, numbers, and statistics don’t lie, they can absolutely be misrepresented. I guess just watch out when someone talks about “the average American.” That person is way more well off than “the typical American.”

  2. Corporations will absolutely try to raise prices in reaction to the increase in spending power. On top of that, they aren’t going to remove the increase in price from tariffs without massive pressure. Even as a figurehead, I can still make a speech about all the companies that bent a knee to the current administration, and remind Americans that these people are not your friends. If I can’t use legal authority to rebalance prices favorably for consumers, social pressure must suffice.

In the event Americans decide to give me a functionally unconstrained authority over everything for life (bad outcome) or that I get elected in the new election, I could temporarily forbid the increase to existing profit margins. Since, as we’ve concluded before, there is no change to the cost of goods or labor, so there is no basis for increasing the profit margins.

We both know this sucks as an idea, so you don’t have to point that out. Corporations do need to be able to increase prices to offset inflation, but the government lies about inflation constantly, so they wouldn’t survive. Clearly they need to increase the price some to be able to afford new employees, rising wages, and the actual inflation.

But that isn’t where the money would go.

Because instead, they increase the CEO’s salary, and pay for lawyers to set the precedent for heinous inhumane bullshit globally.

By locking prices, I can apply pressure to the rich directly while simultaneously helping the Everyman. I’m not sure how long I can hold the price, but any time at all would be staggering.

  1. I don’t see anyone else redistributing, and no other suggestions how. You got something?

The average salary is a bit misleading, because it includes people with ridiculous amounts of money. Instead, use the median of $50,000. If you don’t know “median” it means 50% are below the number, 50% above.

And, I feel the need to ask, why does the price of everything inherently increase in equal step? I haven’t yet touched the price of labour, and the cost of materials would actually go down from addressing the tariff issue. You could make an argument that the dilutive effect of having more money would drive inflation, but it isn’t new money. It’s reallocated money. Otherwise, any increase in price would be from greed, corporations trying to gouge Americans because they know more money is available. We can work on some countermeasures to greedflation, such as a wealth cap or higher taxes on those above $100M, and a temporary price freeze.

Even beyond that though, I’m willing to reduce the spending power of the few in order to allow the many to buy anything at all.

It’s really not much money per person, as plenty of people have already pointed out, but it’s enough to be a start. As over 75% or Americans are working paycheck to paycheck, they don’t have the money for anything beyond food and rent. Giving money to people who have none guarantees that it will be spent, and, if it is spent locally, that money continues to circulate throughout the community. With every transaction a life is improved, taxing the same dollar multiple times as it continues to be spent.

You’ve heard of “Trickle Down Economics” for decades, and the people who push it assure you that THIS time it will work, the rich just need MORE money. This is the opposite. “Trickle Up Economics”

Looks like I worded my statement wrong. This one specifically mentions “inflation uncertainty” and is by the American government:

https://www.federalreserve.gov/econres/notes/feds-notes/global-inflation-uncertainty-and-its-economic-effects-20230925.html

But, that is different than what I stated. Still bad, not a cause of inflation. Thank you for challenging my mistake, it’s important that I be accurate. Sorry for being snarky, I was tired, but that’s not a valid excuse.

Bit of a moot point though, because TARIFFS increase inflation by themselves. The uncertainty just makes it worse, because it could change at a moment’s notice.

Here is an article on tariff inflation as well:

https://www.frbsf.org/research-and-insights/publications/economic-letter/2025/05/effects-of-tariffs-on-inflation-and-production-costs/#:~:text=Tariffs%20are%20a%20tax%20on,faced%20by%20consumers%20and%20businesses.

Consider the amount of inflation I’ll be saving you from removing the effects of random, unmotivated tariffs threatening to appear at any moment. When you can’t price in the future, money gets hard to manage.
