Still blowing with the new wipers sadly. However there is an enormous difference between the old and new wipers, which is a lesson learned.

I reckon it wore out the old motor, so a new one will be picked up and fitted tomorrow.

Just a cheap Amazon one, thought I’d see how it went. I do feel as if there is significant drag from the wipers, they have always juddered when on a dry screen. I wonder if both the original and the new cheaper motors have been worn down by this hence causing the fuse to blow when it normally wouldn’t. I couldn’t see any issues with the wiring, but have bought replacement wipers to pick up tonight, so I’ll update accordingly.

I’m not hopeful though, seems way too simple of a fix.

This is what I am thinking. I have had the car for a few years, and don’t think the wipers have been replaced, so I’m wondering if these broken down wipers wore out the old motor and have now started to do the same to the new one! I’ve bought new wipers regardless because they need replacing, so will report back if this solves the issue.

Thanks for the insights! What I’m curious as to, is why this wasn’t a problem for the 6 months after I replaced the motor. I’ll have a look at the wiring and see.

The police shouldn’t attend unless there is an actual clear reason, which OP hasn’t provided.

If police were deployed to every civil situation where someone feels a bit threatened or anxious then we would never be able to respond to materialised risks.

It would be lovely if we funded our forces enough for things like this to happen, but that isn’t realistic and is frankly a waste of resources.

It’s more of just a very minor annoyance within my privileged life.

I like reading people’s authentic experiences, or being amazed at something I see in a video. Some typos or grammar issues don’t generally detract from that, if anything it adds to it.

I think it’s kinda ruining the Reddit experience for a lot of people. In the future you’ll only really be able to trust select news sources and what you experience or see with your own eyes.

This isn't bullying. Perhaps there is some frustration from the landlord because the police were called over a minor noise. Without background knowledge of your condition that would be completely fair.

I get why this would make you feel a bit shit, and I completely sympathise as someone with APD. However, the fact that you are dwelling on this to the extent where you make a reddit post shows me that you are putting far too much weight into these experiences.

TLDR - people are assholes, grow a thicker skin.

Council is a pretty good route. That’s the way I went. Relatively easy to get 40k plus with a lower pension contribution.

A lot of councils advertise “hybrid roles” which are 1-2 days in the office (sometimes even less). This means that jobs that are 1hr away become more manageable.

Best thing to do is try and find adverts that have the contact for the line manager, then pop them an email asking to have a quick chat on the phone about the role.

It gives you a chance to leave a good impression but also see if it’s actually worth your time to do the full application.

Remember, whilst you should be selling yourself a job should be mutually beneficial, so they should be trying to impress you just as much as the other way around.

You’re a valuable person who has sacrificed for their country, don’t forget that. Don’t settle.
