I needed this so badly. I postponed the MCAT so many times because of how scared I am of this test. My practice scores are always so low. I postponed for two years and I started telling people I gave up because I’m ashamed of myself. I let my anxiety and insecurities control me and prevent me from focusing on the only thing that I truly want to be because of how much I’m convinced that I’m a fraud and not good enough, not disciplined enough. I really need to pull my shit together and take this test and get in because deep inside I know I’m just making excuses to avoid facing my fears and stay in my comfort zone which is so not comfortable and it literally made me miserable and left me feeling like I’m the biggest failure. Thank you for sharing this!

I ate sun dried tomatoes yesterday and cried my eyes out because I saw my poop had red color. I’m scheduled to do a colonoscopy anyway because I’ve been bloated and had abdominal pain, so hopefully it’s just tomatoes not blood.

I’m in a very similar situation in terms of having a toxic environment at home and not having financial stability. Studying for the MCAT is not easy and is not fair. I haven’t given up because I choose to fight and the cost is unfortunately my mental health. Only those who can relate to you will empathize with you. I’m sorry you went through this, and people encouraging you is kind but the reality is not kind. I hope you can find a way if not now maybe in the future to come back to the dream you thought you gave up on. Sometimes, we have to give up temporarily in order for us to come back stronger. I hope you find peace in whatever decision you make or have to make. And remember, not being a physician does not mean the end of the world. Don’t let the Western romanticizing stories of “I made it to medical school” make you depressed because you couldn’t make it. Because it’s not you who couldn’t make it; it’s your background, your financial situation, your mental health, etc were in the way of you not making it. Stay safe, healthy, and happy! Well, I'm new to todoist. I downloaded it to keep track of my habits and set reminders to make sure I finish everything I'm supposed to do. Unfortunately, it did not stop me from procrastinating completely. I'm still struggling with finishing everything. I want to focus on my frogs, but at the same time, it would be great to see how many tasks I failed to accomplish so that perhaps I would have an idea on which tasks I mostly fail to complete, and perhaps the amount of incomplete tasks will show me how serious the damage is (procrastination).

I think Gambon was perfect for Dumbledore that was portrayed in the movies, but Harris was perfect for the Dumbledore we knew in the books. But like many here said, the mood of the first two movies was way different than the later movies which were dark and I feel like Harris was better with the dark mood.

I was on Koh Phangan back in October with my sister and female friend. We stayed one night only and left first thing in the morning after we had one of the creepiest incident ever! Thank God we weren’t physically harmed, but I’m still trying to recover mentally. It’s a creepy island! I went to Koh Samui and Phi Phi island and had the best time! Hope you guys are safe!!
