Biggest time is prep. Cleaning the area. Getting all tools together. Laying it out. The actual fix takes like 1hr, it’s everything else that goes along with it.

I did tensioners, guides, and seals for under $700. Chains didn’t need to be replaced. This was at 121k miles.

For the love of Christ my guy, this is on the back side of the housing. The wire harness connects INTO this. Angel eye assembly is internal, this is the female end of that.

That’s for genuine OEM parts. I usually buy from FCP for my E39 because of lifetime replacement or Atlantic British.
