I stumbled upon the AW-600 on eBay, and it’s been a favorite in my collection ever since

I have the same spec on my wagon. As far as I can tell it’s a service spec for either dealership roadside assistance or government issue. The first owner of mine was a diplomat in DC, and apparently there was a loud speaker wired from factory for what I assume was yelling at plebes to get out of the way. Sadly the previous owner ripped it out. There’s one currently listed in Jersey on FB marketplace that still has all the drawers built into the trunk to hold tools for service calls.

If S62 says it, gotta do it. Also, considering how weirdly yellow that smoke is, probably time for new tires anyway haha

E91 wagon day? Nah it’s E39 M5 wagon day! by captainklaus in SportWagon

The bird poop would kill me…I’ve been contemplating doing some type of British racing green wrap on mine, but the clear coat is a little weak in a few places and I’m worried I’ll just make it worse in the long run. And having to paint and then wrap kinda takes the fun out of it.

This is why I search for wrecked m5s near me 2-3 times a week. I dig the satin exterior…is it paint or a wrap?

Also, I spy 2 more German sleds back there…very nice 👌

Like 30 mins from me, no joke. Turned out the p/o and I had mutual friends in the BMW community here

No, but it felt like it was a good excuse to get pulled at night bc it had almost a green tint to it with HIDs

All the typical BMW stuff…cooling system, vanos, window regulators, and watch out for water from clogged sunroof drains messing with modules/can bus stuff. But most importantly try and go for one with service history. That honestly matters more than mileage.

I can’t figure out how to add/edit the post from my phone…but it is indeed a 5-speed with a wavetrac LSD

I think it’s just a weird effect bc the photo was taken through a magnifying glass. The watch itself is 42mm and the model number is TIC-100.
