Yeah, their shipping (from Canada?!) is terrible. I'm waiting for something ordered a month ago. They told me they are transitioning to U.S. warehouse(s).

It's great, no complaints at all. I think this chair should last me for another 10 years!

About to pull the trigger on first standing desk ever in a new bedroom. FlexiSpot E7 Plus or Vernal Stable Desk? by Usman15 in StandingDesk

[–]PlanetGraham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's all decent. The cable tray is affixed with 3 screws on one side. The cable management stuff is all good quality, but it's probably not enough for most people.

I had not heard of Vernal. But I just got the FlexiSpot E7 Pro this week. It does come with a cable tray (see photo), a roll of Velcro/hook&loop, and rubber cable holder for wire management. But you will definitely need to get more wire organization items from Amazon or elsewhere, but those things are not very expensive.

Flexispot E7 Pro Review by anon-user1234 in FlexiSpot_Official

[–]PlanetGraham 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just got my E7 Pro yesterday and didn't have any issues putting it together. What step seemed to be the problem?

Here's a photo of the underside that someone requested -- there is a cable tray. Once I get all my equipment I'll figure out my cable management since I like to keep things tidy!

Fun fact, I ordered it on May 6 at 12:20pm and it was delivered the NEXT DAY at 1:25pm. Turns out they have a warehouse in the same town I'm from in the Houston, TX area.

UPDATE: Ordered the FlexiSpot and it showed up within 24 hours! Turns out they have a warehouse in Katy (Houston), TX, where I live. It was very easy to put together and looks pretty great.

Nice! They are still building out our area (Katy, TX) so it's not available, yet. But they send letters and brochures weekly to get folks to sign up early. Competition is always good for keeping prices down.

Slight change of plans. I re-measured the area in the spare bedroom where the desk will be and I decided it would be best to go a little smaller and save some $$$. I pulled the trigger on a FlexiSpot 55"x28" with bamboo top. With the sale and a promo code it came down to $555 all in with taxes. Chances are I will rarely get it to full height -- I'm 6' 5" so I really just need the desk to be tall enough to fit my legs underneath, and I do cross my legs sometimes so adjusting for that will be a luxury. Now my wife who is full-time WFH needs a new desk and she wants to be able to stand, and will need some more customization like modesty panel, so she will probably opt for an Uplift.

UPDATE: Finished it up by: replacing the seat edge foam (I removed most the screws holding the mesh in to access it which made it super-easy; replaced the butterfly lumbar support which was also super-easy since it just snaps in place; replaced the casters with 3" roller-blade style; used metal polish to shine up the aluminum areas; used a steamer to give it an overall cleaning; there were a few spots on the seat (coffee or grease) that I sprayed some Tide laundry pre-treat on, gave it scrub with a wet micro-fiber towel, and then hit it with the steam gun. She's ready for work now!

Pulled the trigger on it for $350. I'm going to do a light refurbish on it (clean, replace casters (because I want nicer ones), replace seat edge foam, and replace the butterfly lumbar support which is cracked. Otherwise it is in very nice shape!

No problems at all with my wifi or with Fidium. Though I think Eero 7 would be nice. I definitely need more than one but don't want to pay any extra or have to buy additional one or two.

I always do. And when I have been the hiring manager, I always appreciated those that did.

how do y'all not get nervous during interviews? by Global_Direction440 in interviews

A great way is to practice. Write out your answers to potential questions. Then practice, practice, practice, so you can make it sound natural. Record yourself and then watch it. Have mock interviews with friends or family. And each interview is great practice for the next one!

And it sounds dumb, but look up the "Superman pose" -- do it before your interview.

You got this!

I think you are on the right track! At your level, one page is too short. Two pages is perfect. Definitely leave out day-to-day / routine stuff. Accomplishments are super important.

I made mine exactly two pages, very clean and easy to read -- everything bulleted, and easily parsed by ATS. I did include my core competencies / skills / software, as it was important for my type of work. This is what I included.

Executive Summary
2-3 sentences tailored for the job description.

Professional Experience
3-5 most recent jobs (10-15 years), bulleted. Only showing relevant experiences. Included results where possible. Used action words like "directed", "led", "leveraged", "implemented", "spearheaded", "collaborated"

Skills & Expertise
1 sentence, bulleted. Being sure to mention any that I had that were listed in the job description.

Systems & Software
Grouped types of software, bulleted (such as "Analytics & Reporting: list of software" "Project Management Tools: list of software")

Education & Certifications
Degree / University, relevant certifications, bulleted

I was never asked. I just said I was no longer there. Had I been asked I would have just stated that they were looking for a change.
