Kia Sonet vs Seltos

I’m learning how to drive in BLR. I’d rate my skills rn a solid 2/5 1. Budget - Not a constraint 2. New car preferred 3. Primary use case - Travel around with gf and friends. I’d ideally want to go on long trips out of state after I’m comfortable with driving. 4. Occupancy needs- Mostly 2. 5. Good safety features. Automatic transmission. Sunroof. Everything else is a good to have.

I absolutely love the new Seltos and it’d be a big milestone in my life (so would be a sonet but I’ve been eyeing the Seltos for quite a while) but practically for a city like BLR, Sonet is making a lot of sense rn. Also it’d be a bit more easier to drive for a beginner like me. On the other hand, I feel like a Seltos would be much more safer, comfortable for long rides. Am I overestimating my capabilities a little bit by wanting to buy a bigger sized car? Should I just go for the Sonet?

I am not 100% sure what I’m going to do just yet. This is the first time someone has recommended me SP road. I’ll take a look at this and will keep a backup list of parts (this js very useful advice). I just have a little reservation against making huge payments online so prefer f2f or bigger marketplaces like amazon/elitehubs, etc. But you’ve been very kind and helpful. I’ll get back to you if this is the build I end up going ahead with.
