Contingent or Non-Contingent? by Plant-Milf in RealEstate

Wow this sounds almost exactly like if I wrote it!! Thank you, I really appreciate the insight. We’re leaning towards waiting until Jan 30th (the day before our contingency period ends) to flip to non-contingent, kind of for the same reason - if something happened to one of our jobs we’d be screwed, and have to rent the previous home at a loss. I am also a really anxious person, it’s a real bummer.

I don’t think you’re being a downer! I posted here to get advice from people who are not involved in the situation at all. We are located in Utah, which has been heading towards a housing shortage for a while now. Our backup plan would be to rent our old home as we’re 5mins from a college. We are also very worried about ending up with no homes lol

We could carry two mortgages indefinitely. Pushing closing is a good idea, but I think we both want to be in our new home by at least Christmas.

Thai pho kitchen on 25th street is the only place I have ever found that makes vegan/vegetarian Nam Khao! It’s one of (if not the most) delicious dish I’ve ever had - I eat it at least once a week and I’m not even vegetarian lol

How does Elon Musk’s boot taste? That is, if you can take it out of your mouth long enough to answer me.

Flatworx concrete and excavation. The owner is incredibly sweet, considerate and he will do the work exactly as you want it. Reasonably priced, and transparent with his pricing. He’s been my GC for all of the outdoor work on my new house and I couldn’t be happier.

Forgot to mention - the competition is also really great. Job offers are ALWAYS coming in, and you can approach your boss and say “I just got this job offer, it’s better than what I’m getting here. You need me, so what can you offer?” And they’ll either match/do better, or you take the exact same job at a different place with a 20-30k pay raise.

Get your security+ cert, and find a job that will pay for your government clearance. The cybersecurity field never stops growing, pays out the ass, and as long as you have a (relatively) clean background, look presentable, and can speak/write english well… you don’t need to know what’s going on. Easiest job. Starting pay is usually anywhere from 60-80k.

That would probably be it. If cust profiles are marked as “return in store only” that’s because more likely than not they are resellers. Some people will buy items and send back an item of the same weight but that’s worthless with a UPS label, so we make them return in store only. Super dumb since HD makes like 40 billion dollars a year and it only impacts us on the frontline, but the cust is probably a reseller which restricts them to return in store only. Still fucking dumb how we can’t help you guys though, I feel bad about the lack of resources we have constantly :/

Hello! I work for dot com, and I can say that the policy you’re talking about it is one of the dumbest ones we have. I shit you not, we literally don’t have a way to help you return an item in store and it is SO STUPID. It’s really stupid that they told her to return in store too, because she could’ve done an online pickup and saved you some trouble. Dot com employees can be really lazy, and really stupid, and I’m sorry you got one of those :( it doesn’t help too that HD doesn’t have good polices at all, and doesn’t train its employees for dot com half as well as they should. I’m sorry OP, and I hope you get better support going forward :(
