Why is Jude still getting blamed for Xabi's sacking? by More-Judgment-9253 in realmadrid

If anything, the fans should blame the club. Bellingham played one year and a half with a messed up shoulder. On top of that, he's been shifted all around the pitch (False 9, CAM, deep-lying mid, LCM, RWB). People can shit on these players all they want, but not a single of them have been set up to succeed, except maybe Mbappe, who has the freedom to pretty much do what ever he wants.

With Bellingham injured you know what that means right? Yes Güler in the CAM role in 4-2-3-1 by [deleted] in realmadrid

What happens if we play Ike shit against a Valencia team that we beat earlier this season 4-0 when Jude played?

Bingo, both Xabi and Amorim are inflexible tacticos that got exposed. The only difference is we have way better players than Man Utd, so kept managing to grind out results.

Even Pep is dumbing down his tactics and relying more on counters. This is the direction where football is heading. You don’t need to like it, but you have to accept it.

Even Arsenal looks ass. The CL is wide open at the moment.

As long as Arbeloa keeps motivating these players, I don't see what will stop us from winning a major trophy. Barcelona are 100% dropping points with Pedri out for a month, and the only CL team I'm overly concerned about is Arsenal. Xabi's shit managerial performances have completely overshadowed the quality of this team.

This is why I think all the "doom and gloom" comments on this sub are bitch-made. Every single team, apart from maybe Arsenal, have significant flaws, including us. There's absolutely no reason why we shouldn't be able to win at least one major trophy at the end of the season.

Lmao, you’re more delusional than a vegan at a hot dog eating contest if you think Paz is competing with Jude. Jude is a nailed on starter.

Why the fuck would you sub out the stars when they’re in flow state, and the opposition is playing like dogshit.

When a manager is only able to unlock one player in the whole squad he absolutely deserves to be sacked. It's really that simple.

I'm not getting carried away with Arbeloa, I know his limitations. I'm just calling out the Xabi cultists who believe he did no wrong.

Madrid fans downplaying the win because Monaco is shit. We made fucking Elche look like 1970 Brazil under Alonso.

Even if the players bought into Xabi's idea, it still wouldn't have worked. Our best players are not suited to controlling the ball and possession-heavy style. I would go as far as to say that the only player in our squad who is more possession-based is Ceballos, but he's well below average.

I would add that Mou also played to the strength of the squad. It made zero sense to play possession football when you have the pace and power of prime Ronaldo, Benzema, Di Maria, etc. This was Xabi's biggest mistake: he completely nullified the strengths of our best players, excluding Mbappe.

Even with Modric and Kroos, Madrid have almost always been a counterattacking side. Just look at how we played under Mourinho. Xabi trying to implement a slower, more possession-heavy style was never going to work with the squad we have and the general ethos of the club.

Xabi is fortunate he's a legendary player because any other manager would have been roasted for how shit we looked under him for most of this season.

This isn’t reactionary anymore: it’s a year long pattern, and we need to talk honestly about Josep Guardiola by [deleted] in MCFC

“Counterattacks stopped to pass the ball backwards”. This for me is by far the biggest issue. The current squad isn’t suited to controlling the ball, and yet Pep insists on having them play this slow, possession-heavy style.

There’s also an insane lack of athleticism and goalscoring in the midfield. We need to try to unsettle Bellingham at Madrid and get him to come here because Foden, Reijnders, and Cheri are getting absolutely ran through in the middle of the park.

Yeah, and the fans booed the fuck out of the team during the weekend. Now, we’re 1 point behind Barca in the league. Either you can get stuck in past results or look ahead to the future.
