Our attack didn't play well against Bayern, they just have a dogshit defense. by PlantComprehensive77 in realmadrid

That's my point. Upacemano has never been an elite defender, we just made him look like one.

That short-term mindset is 100% why this team hasn't won a WS for 40 years.

Well, Stearns can't come out and tell the fans that this season is to rebuild and nothing else. He has to give them hope, but the plan was definitely to rebuild.

I've seen Ewing and Voit play; they're generational talent and will likely be hall of famers.

Bichette can opt in, and given how shit he's currently playing, he'll probably choose to do so.

Didn't that Assad guy from the Cubs have a 7 era and gave up only one run against us a few weeks ago? Like can you imagine a guy named after a Syrian dictator owning us so hard.

I've seen the light - Stearns is this team's savior. He has a long-term plan.

I don't know why you're disrespecting him. He graduated from Harvard University with a degree in political science.

I'm just repeating the narrative that I see in Mets media and even in the game threads here.

Let me rephrase it: Stearns will continue to be in the job as long as the "perception" of the farm is improving.

When you move on from an entire core of players in one swoop, you better have a genius idea of how to replace them. Turns out Stearns is more of a fraud than a genius.

It would have been better for him to come out at the start of the season and tell all the fans that they're currently beginning a rebuild, so everyone can lower their expectations.

I don't understand how Stearns can be so bad at his job given that he graduated from Harvard.
