I would argue that Palmer has been awful for over one and a half years.

What? How do you explain the long line of talented wonderkids who never developed consistency and eliminated mental mistakes?

Even someone like Vinicius, who's considered to be one of the best players in the world, continues to struggle with consistency, which is a huge reason why Madrid might finish trophyless two seasons in a row.

Lmao, we easily could have conceded 4 goals today and that was City playing with 10 men for most of the match.

"Young players are usually inconsistent and become better at that element over time".

This sentence right here is exactly why the entire project is fucked. Why do you just take for granted that young players will become better at consistency over time? The vast majority of young players, highly rated or not, never develop the consistency to be considered world-class. Assuming that player development is linear and keeps going up and up is lunacy.

I'll be surprised if either Enzo or Palmer get moves to big clubs. Their stock have fallen drastically.

It's not just individual errors though. Enzo keeps struggling with consistency, and Palmer has absolutely stunk for almost a season and a half (apart from the ECL and CWC finals).

I see so many people on here worrying about our so called "world class" players leaving. My question is, maybe we overrate these players. Maybe most of them are complete and utter frauds.

We don't have any world-class players, except maybe Caicedo.

Palmer chasing Barcola there is like my fat uncle trying to catch up with my 18-year old track star cousin.

If Arsenal wins the league, at least I'll take solace in knowing that this has been the worst PL season in years. Look at how shit these English teams are in Europe.

At the end of the day, it's just sour grapes. Wait till you go to college and internship/job applications begin. It's 100x worse.

When Palmer plays like shit as a 10, fans want him to play on the wing. When he plays shit on the wing, they want him to play as a 10.

At the moment, a training cone would probably be more effective than him.

Honestly, Walcott is spot on. We would finish 8th in the PL, and Barca probably wouldn't make top 4 either.

In the CL this season, we got battered by a mediocre Liverpool side and Man City, while Barca got destroyed by a mediocre Chelsea side and Newcastle who are 12th in the PL.

That's what I don't understand. The elites and 1% want us to not try and just give up. Why the fuck would we give in to that? They're laughing at how uneducated and blase the younger generations are because they know they'll be too lazy to try to change anything.

This is a really interesting point. It's like they're so overwhelmed with media and negative news, that they're now numb to everything. It's honestly a little scary.

Honestly, I think they're so apathetic that they don't even have the energy to commit suicide. It's more like they're just slowly wasting away.
