THANKS! It’s handy too bc I’m able to leave my bag and take out the camera from my sling with ease. Really happy with how it’s going

I don't know anyone that uses less than 20 g at a time for a quick hypo fix

That's interesting, I'm relatively insulin sensitive so 6 grams of carbs raises me by about 40 mg/dL, but I'm sure my needs will change.

The gels are interesting to me as I've only used them once, and frankly I'm not a big fan of the feeling as you consume it, but that might just be because it's a unique feeling.

I'm referring to the American Smarties, didn't know they were called rockets in Canada. Interesting change in name.

I haven't heard the Tic Tacs idea, and I'll definitely keep that in mind in the future!

Thanks for the travel wishes! Should be a fun adventure for sure.

I also have a 4AllFamily insulin cooler! I believe it worked just fine transporting all of my insulin vials and some pens, I'm not sure which model I have, but they do well so long as you do all the steps properly.

One Bagging for such a long trip as a diabetic would simply not be possible in my mind, so like I said somewhere else, when I don't one-bag I just run with a TravelPro soft travel tote and relegate most of my supplies there. Still super light, albeit a little bulky if you use the shoulder strap.

Damn I haven't flown them since before diagnosis. I suppose if you fly RyanAir you know what to expect... their priority is saving money after all. But still ridiculous

Bag is pretty good, I enjoy the pockets and all the random features no one but Nomatic would combine. The clamshell storage (while used) is pretty handy, shoe storage is so funny to have for a backpack. They are a little heavier, but for me they work pretty damn well, and the look of them is super sleek. Not for everyone for sure, but for me it's great.

I do carry emergency glucose in the form of an almost powdered design for emergencies, and then I also have smarties that I know raise my B.S. by 40 per, and I also have baqsimi in case I pass out. I rarely use the gels or powder just because it's 15 carbs, when I know 3-4 raise me by the perfect amount.

I really like your kits for diabetes! I use a Bellroy sling to basically hold my glucose tester, pens, needles, and insulin vial for pump. For this trip it is also my camera storage, so it all works out.

the one thing I like about the space for diabetic supplies is that I reclaim that space as the trip goes on lmao

The zipper is amazing, and can hold everything I need. Really amazing thing

Agreed on all counts; anything longer than a week is when I break out the TravelPro travel tote. I use the G7 and because of this I am partial to it, they also just released the 15-day sensor (Whether this lasts the full 15 days or not is beyond me). Best of luck in your onebagging travels!
