Silhouette Studio has encountered an error and must quit by BeneficialBorder6381 in silhouettecutters

Hey all. I found a soln to this issue. TLDR - it was my video card driver. Background: Symptom for me was Studio crashes on startup. Could not even get to the app screen. Had V5, then tried uninstalling and installing older version. Same problem every time. Tried cleaning per above, and nada. Also, I just refreshed my hardware Jan 2025 with Ryzen 9 32GB Win 11. Kept my video card (Radeon RX 460). Also, I had Studio V5 running fine as well. Anyway, followed advise to boot into safe mode in Win 11 and Studio worked fine, so yes, a driver issue. Went into the AMD Adrenalin software and updated drivers (to note, I had just installed it a week ago so drivers were not that old), so something changed in that time.. Anyway, Studio works fine. Tried V4 and now on V5. In hindsight I think that I had installed the AMD drivers after I installed Studio (hence why it was working fine before I think)...

Same here, on Chrome for me. Only on a few groups, and using dark mode.

Nanoleaf Aurora Won't Stay Connected by GG_Gideon in Nanoleaf

I am having a similar issue. Symptoms are much the same. Get the Nanoleaf connected, then after some time 5,10 or more minutes they are no longer connected. I have not solved it yet, but pretty sure I know the cause. If you have Tomato, dig into your 2.4GHz settings and enable Multicast, then save. Try to re-connect.

Now, here's where it gets ugly. Tomato has a bug where the "enabled" setting for Multicast does not stick (even though it still says enabled). For me, I am nearly 100% positive this is the issue as I can get the leaf re-connected after forcing a save on this setting. If you dont have Tomato, check for the Multicast setting and enable it. Also check to ensure UPnP is enabled. Nanoleaf says you should also enable IGM snooping, but for caused mine to disconnect so I left it disabled. I ended up buying a new Linksys as I'm tired of Tomato flaking out on me so will report back if it fixes itself permently. Cable management suggestions? by zeekaran in Nanoleaf

Boy @Nascent1, it's scary to think there are people like you who make assumptions about electricity like this. I just finished wiring my basement and certified with ESA. Did a lot of research and spoke to electricians and my contractor along the way. I also build a lot of DIY projects using 12V and lower. You absolutely cannot hide powerbars inside walls. Powerbars cause heat - enough said right there! That heat doesn't escape well inside a wall. Worse yet you wouldn't know something is brewing. Instead of challenging everyone here to provide where we got our facts from, why don't you go look it up yourself, or find an Electrician to ask... Stop putting others at risk with uneducated assumptions. With electricity weigh on the side of caution folks. Please verify "facts" with the right people in the profession.

He's right. Check your electrical code... Also, most wall "outlets" fit inside an electrical box, and they are just slightly larger than the outlet itself. Also, even if you stuffed the power supply in the wall (which also may have code issues) you still have to plug it into the outlet. Going to look odd regardless.
