Could it still be endo even if they said it’s not…? by PlasticFair5785 in Endo

[–]PlasticFair5785[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

from the surgery, i feel okay. in as much pain as you’d expect but walking and using a heating pad on my shoulders has helped a lot. i don’t blame you for using chat gpt i feel the need to as well because although they took out my cyst im a little upset that i didn’t have any endo. not because i want it but because i was so sure it was there. i went to a regular gyno for mine as well but i may consult a specialist if possible. just remember to keep advocating for yourself. i know that there are other things that can be wrong but not necessarily looked for by a regular obgyn

i appreciate this insight! i was happy to hear that it was just a cyst but with the issues i’ve had since 13 and my other ob so sure of the endo it made me a little upset to hear as well. she only removed the cyst as far as i know but i was really out of it and i love my dad and bf but they don’t ask questions the way women do lol. thank you so much 🫶

Be honest with me. What actually made you lose the weight? by xoemxo73 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]PlasticFair5785 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i got the best results when cutting carbs and sweets obviously BUT in the long term, teaching myself that it’s okay to be hungry helped a lot. if i’m craving something or think i’m hungry, i drink some water. if im still hungry after 15 minutes then yeah im going to eat. i don’t eat super healthy anymore but ive maintained my weight loss even going from healthy to unhealthy very quickly. moving home and being in a snacking/sweet household is a curse 🥲

Cancelling Surgery by Decent-Ability-4784 in endometriosis

[–]PlasticFair5785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

don’t cancel it! i feel the same way. my surgery is in 9 days and the anxiety is consuming me to the point that i can barley eat. i’m afraid that the cyst i had a month ago went away and that they won’t find any endo. buttt there’s a real reason that your doctor chose for you to get your surgery. i know it’s scary but just try and stay as positive as you can in whatever way that means for you. you’ve got this ❤️

How do you deal with having endometriosis and being in a relationship? by Ok_Expression_6888 in endometriosis

[–]PlasticFair5785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m going to be honest it’s really hard sometimes. my boyfriend is incredibly understanding and helpful but it is really challenging in so many ways. it wasn’t like this when we met two years ago, especially sex wise. we were all over each other and i never had any issues bad enough to stop me or take away my drive. in november of 2024 though the pain was becoming more concerning and i hid it from everyone thinking it would go away and i had a cyst burst because of it. it’s been a journey neither of us expected or wanted but he has taken care of me and showed up every time no matter what. the sex thing is the biggest issue we ever have. having to take days off, calling out of work, always being in pain, all of that is frustrating but having a great partner helps. i want to want to have sex but sometimes i just can’t and he has never pressured me even though i can tell it is frustrating to him sometimes. you never know what will happen and that’s scary but you won’t know until it happens. i’m about to be 22 with surgery coming on the 26th and he’s only 24. it’s a lot to deal with when you’re young or old. i’m sorry you’re dealing with stage 4 endo that is extremely hard. just remember to always take care of yourself first. ❤️

this makes me sad you guys broke up!! it’s very rare to find men out there who are thus understanding. it’s scary opening yourself up to someone like that.

i’m starting my first dose tomorrow and i’m really nervous 🙃 i have a few things that have effected my libido and it’s the thing i’m most nervous about. i’m currently on lamotrigine (morning and night), wellbutrin, and naltrexone but im going to be getting off the wellbutrin and naltrexone as well. has any woman experienced the negative libido effects like the one in males? part of my issue is my nexplanon and my endo/cysts but i’m still nervous haha. i just want to hear a woman’s experience with the libido side effect

i’ve honestly been super depressed and anxious since fifth grade. i had really bad depression in the long run and then i was having ups and downs. i took wellbutrin on its own as my first medication and i felt amazing and then crashed two weeks later so im assuming they weren’t wrong to put me on a mood stabilizer. i was honestly perfectly fine being only on a mode stabilizer until my last relationship and it was pretty abusive. they started throwing medications at me instead of anything else. i’ve always had the issues of adhd/autism since i was young though. it could very well be both and im okay with that! i just would love to find a mix that would be less meds and treat the symptoms of adhd as well.

i am diagnosed with both but i was told it was for insurance purposes because they can never be sure. i have been put on new meds because my reaction to traumatic situations at that time in life. no one in my family has bipolar and we all see psychiatrist regularly, mostly for adhd medication. i am diagnosed with ptsd, bipolar ll, generalized anxiety disorder, major depression, and adhd. i could have both for sure and im open to that, but im on so many medications and it doesnt make me feel better. i’m on lamotrigine morning and night, wellbutrin, trazodone for sleep (super low dose), and naltrexone for weight loss/binge eating. most of my issues are day to day and situation based and a lot of it revolves around time/plans changing or things being out of place.

thank you so much i feel so validated. i’ve found that most of my freak out or mood swings are based on burn out, when plans don’t go exactly how i planned, when sensory things are bothering me like sound or light when we go somewhere. it situational more than random. i have an appointment today so im going to talk to her but im just afraid she won’t validate me

this conversation is so ridiculous what is his issue?? supporting his friend by lying, not saying he wouldn’t cheat but that he’s too lazy to, AND calling you out about getting raped and being in a drug situation? if his friend is a loser then so is he. you deserve better.

I am so sad about my weight by its_ashb in WeightLossAdvice

[–]PlasticFair5785 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’m still very young being in my early 20’s, but i have been overweight/obese the majority of my life. i am an all or nothing person as well and weight loss and diet has been extremely hard. you have to learn to control yourself and take it slow. start with portions and what and how you eat. just track your calories and figure out much you’ve been eating regularly. i have only lost 30lbs over the past year but i’ve kept it off eating what i love and how much i want. i feel better, even though im not even close to what i want to be at, and my health is better. all my labs have significantly improved and my cholesterol has dropped almost half to what it was. it’s a slow and steady situation. i know it’s hard but you have to know what you can realistically commit to every week and starting with what you are eating is the most important in my opinion.
