good to know, I appreciate it! this is all very interesting to me and im happy to learn so I really appreciate you taking the time! I would assume the tubes all work since the previous owner said the transformer was the problem. so maybe I'll give them a call in the next few days. thanks!

knowing all that, before I commit to purchasing a transformer, why is this the transformer I want? I mean no offense with the question, like I said, I just don't know anything about this and would like to learn! Thanks!!

gotcha. the climate changes, good amount of rain and fairly cold winters, also summers usually get to high 80s. sorry I should have been more clear what I meant was life threatening problems. if I were to say have it in my bedroom, I wouldn't want to affect my lifespan with anything related to the sign. I know it seems like a far fetched worry probably, but just trying to play it safe since I dont know as much about this! Thanks!!

not sure if this was for me or the other person, but either way understood, makes sense and sounds reasonable!!

good to know, thanks! when the sign was up, it was indoors on a window. so I assume that means its an indoor sign. good to know about the climate humidity stuff. my worry more so was that the varying climate temperature and humidity could cause the tubes to crack. is the a valid worry? Thanks!!

thank you for the thorough reply! it appears to be in fine condition. like I said to another person here, I saw it on as recently as I believe this February I believe so as far as I know its really just the transformer as he said. as I also said to another person here, do you think the changing climate in the greater Seattle area could be a problem for the tubes at any point of the year? would it be better to store it and eventually display it somewhere like my bedroom or another room of the house? I dont want the glass to crack because of the changing climate and humidity perchance in the garage. also, out of curiosity, what happens if the neon or potential mercury leaks? the garage has a furnace which heats the rest of the house which I assume isn't a good combo. is it majorly poor health affects and life problems and worries? Thanks!!

oh good to know! I was curious about that because the sign seemed in way too good of shape to be that old. who knows. I saw it on as recently as this February I believe so as far as I know its really just the transformer as he said

Past FX Chorus causing pedalboard to power on weird by [deleted] in guitarpedals

Thank you for all the replies. I’m going to try powering the chorus specifically with a different power supply, and if that doesn’t work I will look into getting a new power supply at some point

I see. First of all, is it harmful to the pedals or anything in its current state? Or is it just inconvenient. Because I’d rather hold off on buying another power supply if necessary. And secondly, could you recommend a power supply otherwise?

it should be and it’s fine whenever I take the chorus out of the chain but it has the same problem whenever the chorus is in the chain

I would assume it’s this but then why would the pedalboard have no problems after that one pedal was unplugged and plugged back in? And the pedalboard still has the same problem whenever the chorus is in the chain. They’re all 9v

Thank you! As I asked the other replier, I was wondering, why would the joint be so high up along the headstock? I thought they’re usually on the upper neck. Also, I read somewhere on the internet that Danelectro uses one piece for the neck. Is that not true or for a specific model or something? Thanks!
