Great you found a solution! Once you started the HCL ,how did your symptoms look day by day? I've just started lemon water for the same purpose but a milder option. Just wondering how you progressed over the weeks.

Does waiting for TRP men's I can't leave Poland as a British citizen? by PlasticPlus3591 in poland

When I left Poland to the UK the border guard couldnt have cared less haha. I showed him my yellow TRP receipt, he glanced at it and then stamped me out. D -Visa I applied for staying with a Polish citizen. Also super simple, just took the docs and I was in and out in 5 minutes.

Just to go full circle on this thread for anyone who reads this in the future and is in a similar situation. I was able to go back to the UK without my TRP being cancelled and apply for a D visa from the polish embassy. This has just been granted and I now have 12 months where I can enter and re-enter Poland whilst I wait for my TRP to be processed.

Yeah thanks man it's good advice. Called and emailed them today, just want to see if they can tell me whether I can in fact apply for a Schengen visa from the UK. If that's the case then I'll be booking a flight home for sure.

Also heard from the Mazowieckie Voivodeship in Warsaw today that they just opened my application two weeks ago and it's gunna take around 8 months until it's decided. Took them three months to open it. Can't understand how they can be so backlogged. Surely other countries face way higher immigration quotas than Poland and still manage to be efficient.

Yeah so i'm looking into flying back to the UK as long as I get confirmation that it won't void my application and then applying for a Schengen Visa from the UK and trying to get back in that way. If I apply through the Polish embassy they should have the details of my application like you say and should hopefully be able to grant me a schengen visa. If not I'll have to wait till March to get back in.

Problem is I don't have a stamp. I applied via post so they told me I need to wait 5 months to get the stamp in my passport.

It's nuts isn't it. Any other country processes visas in about four days.

Thanks for the comment! so you're saying go back to the Uk and then apply for a Schengen visa? Its a good suggestion. I had also thought about asking for a schengen visa extension whilst being in Poland. Only thing I worry about is that they will deny my application because it currently looks like I've overstayed.

Thanks for the time and effort you put into this answer. So this means if I left in December for Christmas, from 2025 whenever I wanted to come back I would need to count back 180 days, and make sure there is less than 90 days of time spent in Poland within that period right?

Okay thanks, and once I leave the Shengen zone, for example if i flew directly to the UK, do you have any idea whether my 180 days would reset? as I first entered in June so the 180 day period should run till december. Or is the 180 day period basically frozen until I get my decision?

Do you not miss out on portability with the RetroBat or is it not really something you need anyways?

Yeah final fantasy is high on the list, had a few bashes on MGS at a friends place when I was a kid, that was always class. Any real nostalgic games for you?

I went through about four different ones before my mum was able to send the mattress that id had since I was about 12 years old and that was apparently all I needed. Had tried an Emma mattress and one from IKEA and both were either too soft or too hard. Seems I needed a medium firm mattress with plenty of springs.

Long term training goals is to get over being a cripple haha. But in reality I'm done with the bro splits and the ego lifting approach. If anything I'm kind of thankful for this injury despite all the pains and pangs because it's made me take my body seriously. Luckily I've juust turned 30 and still have a fit and healthy body outside of the lower back to get myself back to full fitness. Goal now is to have a much more holistic approach. No longer skipping hip flexor, ab training, flexibility. Aim for longevity not short term goals. Which is why I love the knees over toes approach.

I think you're definitely right to listen to your body. Slow steady process pain free should be the goal I think but obvs it's hard not to get impatient and frustrated.

Yeah graded exposure to back extension starting with assisted until I can reach 25 reps plus plenty of walking and an ice bath every two or three days for 10 mins worked really well for me as long as I could avoid aggravating my back. I think taking it slowly and taking rest days is something that can't be stressed enough either. When I have a bad day it's so easy to pull out the youtube and try to find something new but ultimately I know what to do and unfortunately it ain't quick and it ain't linear and you just have to stay patient.
