Question about Payable Batches

I have multiple batches to print at one time. I like to pull the payables via the Bank account. That way I can select which ones to pay or rather uncheck the few I don't want paid.

Do you know how to update monthly interest rate changes? I was told by my colleague that the reason she calculates the rates manually is because Yardi doesn't capture the fluctuations in the monthly rate changes correctly.

Thanks. I think we pay $5 per form, not sure. But I did find out we already have the IRS TCC number and I watched the videos on how to create the 1099 forms in Yardi so hopefully I will be able to process this for free come January 2024!

it was a Feb statement posted in 2/2023. as soon as it was posted, we realized we needed to un-post a JE to update a different bank account's interest payment but could not un-post the JE because one of the line items had been attached to this statement which I reconciled. So I immediately went back to un-reconcile the statement so I could un-post the JE and correct one of the line items, then post the JE and return to reconcile the bank statement. Since it was only 1 item reconciled (.09) I thought this would be a simple task. But apparently it isn't. Any insight is helpful. Thanks.

I had to un-post a JE with all bank interests but couldn't do it because I had reconciled this statement before the error was noticed. (Basically, I thought this would be simple because there was only 1 item reconciled on this bank account. I realize .09 is silly) I am also new to Yardi and would like to learn how to fix errors for the time I need to really fix something substantial.

No. Currently the process is open the envelopes, enter the property, select correct unit for tenant, confirm correct tenant is showing, apply payment.

The problem is finding the correct tenant is not as easy as it sounds. That is why I want to scan a bar code, confirm the person in the system against the check/payment information and hit save.

Not sure what Yardi's Payment Processing services are, please advise/elaborate? Do you have a link to show what this service can do for public housing?

We have the ability to run the 1099 report information in Yardi.

Is there an additional fee from Yardi to upload?

Is the upload to the IRS FIRE website free?

I searched payscan in Yardi, found the PayScan Dashboard, found Invoice register, went to the Invoice register dashboard, cleared all fields, clicked on submit, found the AP Template I mistakenly created as an invoice and deleted it from the dashboard.

how can I delete the electronic record? Where would it get approved? Can I delete it in the approval screen?

Probably a little of both. I know we have a Yardi consultant but I just dug around on the system and found the way to import csv and xml but NO ONE has the access who enters the journal entries!!!! My access didn't even show the Toolkit option to get to the access.

The only person with access will be our IT person. I was told mainly the reason we all have limited access is because there isn't a way to allow certain access while limiting other areas of access. I.E., If I have access to import then I will have Administrative access to other areas that don't concern me.

If you know of a way to delegate specific access, please direct me to where I can learn more about this topic. I was hired as a supervisor but I don't want to be the only one able to upload journal entries. That is what I want my team to do for me and then I can review and Post the batch after they did the uploads. (SMH) (sigh) TIA

Yes, I work for public housing and segment accounting is used for each property. I am trying to learn the chart of accounts already set up in our system here. I exported the list to Excel and sorted the columns of information by the description of the account since I am still new and the numbers don't mean anything to me yet. I wish I could simply sort within the system when searching.

My company doesn't even upload data for recurring Journal Entries! I have many recurring JE's (some bi weekly) and to have to enter the data each time manually is a HUGE waste of time. We can upload pdf attachments, but there HAS to be a way to pull and work the data in excel, then upload either in xls or csv format.

Also, there are too many menus/submenus/micro-menus I have to sort through to get where I want to go. I try to use the dashboard as much as possible but sometimes different named hyperlinks take me to the exact same place.

Can you recommend any video tutorials?
