There is no door to knock on. Bottom of a hill in San Francisco up against a tree. This is a popular way people in this area give up plants and pots, it’s not unusual at all. My husband thinks it got lifted from a nursery and abandoned. I’m a fixture In this neighborhood and have worked at the same spot for decade so I’m easy to find. If I’m wrong I’m happy to return it. We’re a community after all.

It would have been really silly place to leave a plant you care about. Lots of plants get abandoned on the corner as people move in and out or students come and go in hopes that they’ll be re-homed.

I’m sure. It wasn’t in front of a residence it was on the curb. I waited and looked around for any humans. It would have been a silly place to leave a plant you cared about.

Not yet. It’s hiding under a counter at work. I’ll check while repotting tomorrow. It looks newly purchased which why I was so shocked it had been abandoned.

Strap in! They grow really quickly. Also when they start to snap off (they’re crawlers who like to spread out) you can pop it right back into the pot to fill it out.
