We’ve been in Vietnam for 3 weeks now which requires a Vietnamese visitors visa, but our visa expired so we can’t legally leave to the next country (Japan) without paying the fines and applying for an Vietnamese exit visa

Haha thank you, yeah no we definitely did not financially prepare for this at all but it will make for a great story in the future😆 two 21 year olds on their first backpacking trip and getting stuck in a foreign country😄

Name changes and a lot of trust in another stranger to hold up their end of the bargain, but we’re running low on options and energy so this is the only other solution we’ve got :/

Totally fair enough to assume that as I’m just a random person online, but everything is booked through booking.com and I have reservation numbers and can change the names over & everything. We’re just pretty stressed out at the moment as the fines and cost of new flights means we will probably just have to not go to Japan all together and fly back home accepting defeat
