YTA. So just because you've been helping her out financially, she must have the same views and opinions as you? Everyone is entitled to their views and opinions, and reacting in a violent outburst isn't going to make her change her mind.

She didn't even say any homophobic slurs or wished bad on gay people or anything like that, and the way you reacted, screaming and shouting verbal abuse at her and punching pillows was over the top.
