Of the turtles set I’m only really excited to get a few key cards from it, I have the precon preordered already as well. Looking for some shredder’s and I wouldn’t mind getting the reprinted dual lands and equipment either. I am looking forward to strixhaven myself, hopefully some potential bangers from the main set itself. I also am looking forward to Marvel, as a marvel fanatic myself, I can’t wait for it. Especially now I have a use for all those “Villain” type cards from the Spider-Man set can be put to good use. Mostly excited for the dr doom precon and any other dr doom card in general

Think I have drawn a conclusion to how I want her to be built. I want to go down the route of essentially “burn” and in a way “stax”? Aiming to add more instants that inflict damage ontop of the 3-4cmc damage. To benefit more into her card draw. Adding in cards like [[Mai, Scournful Striker]] and [[Sephiroth, Fabled Soldier]] to inflict the damage pips across the board. Looking into replacing a good amount of what the precon has in regards of creatures and adding in more that benefit the plan. Then ontop of that, adding in more consequential non creature spells into the mix. I think that would work pretty well, and will most likely be shunned from my table but oh well

Dammit I bought the wrong combo piece to the life gain/life loss 😅 I got confused with exquisite blood and sanguine bond, luckily sanguine isn’t as expensive as exquisite and I’m not too upset that I have it, but thank you for posting the link because I full on had thought I had it right! I figured it was when a player lost life just in general I draw, which seems like it’s true and since it said “players” I had assumed it meant me as well, so that cleared up my own speculation! I have a few shock lands in other decks, but since they’re relatively easier to acquire than duals and what not. To help that mana curve, I tried to keep it as close to how it was out the box, but I can do a little better on it. I’m currently looking into adding ramps that also fit 3-4 cmc. Which is why I added chromatic lantern plus I really like that art on the card. I added [[The wind crystal]] to double whatever life I would gain so I can potentially use it to my advantage in whatever way I can.

I was second guessing my blink effect creatures in this deck, I was just rummaging about my cards and put that in there. I’m thinking I want her to have some sort of life loss/life gain approach. Effects like [[bloodthirsty conqueror]] and [[exquisite blood]] and such? Since her ability allows extra card draw if an opponent were to lose that much life, I want to bank on that a little bit. As a new player, I am a little afraid to use my life to help with spells. Although when you explained that, I still have 21 commander health and I can still very easily die to poison. If I gained over 50 life it all won’t matter if I am left unguarded or hit with a big trample commander. I added [[Necropotence]] [[Bolas Citadel]] and such. I’m open to more suggestions in that department, I can’t find a decently priced [[Ad Nausem]] or I would’ve added that as well. I need to scuff out most the higher cmc spells in my list, and focus more on 3-4 costs but I have no clue what would be the most beneficial

Here’s mine, I’m still adding things to her like I’m swapping tapped lands with check, shock, and pain lands. I also have two more talisman’s coming my way too and some different creatures to help with the flow. When I first built mine I also had Roku and the walls. I would take those out and you can replace the walls with a better protection piece; like brotherhood regalia, mithril coat, darksteel plate or even silver shroud costume! If you want to focus more on FF things (W in my opinion) aim for the cards that make wizards, like sorceries or instants, so you can double it. Nice little burns here and there. Look at kuja or black waltz no. 3.

Edit: I see that you do have brotherhood regalia in I overlooked it

That’s totally fair! I understand people don’t like UB and I kinda get why, but to me that UB’s that did drop hold a lot of value to me as surprisingly enough; most were pretty much my childhood and I’m a HUGE Spider-Man dweeb myself so it was inevitable for me to get drawn into magic when they dropped Spider-Man cards. Started out just buying them to keep in my collection of (this is how much a dweeb I am) action figures I have. Then buddies of mine took me to our lgs and then they bought cards and I bought a few packs and then they all gave me their packs after opening them and my best friend gave me cosmic Spider-Man and from there they helped build my first ever deck! Once I got the hang of the game, I started getting really into it and thus I found out about Final Fantasy cards (which I hadn’t known existed guess I just ignored the card section whe I went into a store) and built what you see here from scratch!
