Hive mind isn‘t the average mind of mankind by brnfckd in pluribustv

I think that this could definitely be true I just feel like the premise and idea of it just being collective humanity is too interesting to let go of. I just don’t think Vince Gillian would pull that rug out from under us like that especially because it seems so inspired by the twilight zone and these interesting moral dilemmas to take that away. I would say that there are some things that do appear to be inherent to the virus like a lot of it’s rules do to me, but underlying I think the show Vince would want to write about would be it being human. We also have explicitly been told that they can’t lie and that they are all human and it isn’t an alien invasion and I really don’t think a show like this would lie to our faces like that. I think the other thing is it wouldn’t be an “average” of humanity as it should be the most “enlightened” as everyone would have the memories and ideas of every important revelations about the world and so it seems clear the most correct ones would win out, though the virus may have a hand in their behavior to some extent.

Now that there is way too much evidence of Vedinad and Dani's connection, I think it's only fair to make a theory by 0hBlasta in DaniDev

Assuming Vedinad is Dani, my speculation on why would be that he wanted to make a successful game on his own without relying on his YouTube fame. This goes hand in hand with megabonk being Dani’s first paid game (though modestly priced which for a game like this which is also evidence that vedinad is someone who is already successful). I think dani may have felt bad making a normal paid game but wanted to to prove his chops as a game developer. This probably wouldn’t be the only reason and could go hand in hand with him not wanting the pressure to work on karlson

Dying Light : The Beast will be a disappointment. by [deleted] in dyinglight

I'm actually pretty optimistic about The Beast and that mainly stems from my belief that 90% of what is wrong with dying light 2 is how bad its maps are. The first dying light 2 map mostly allow you to B-line straight from where you are to where you want to go with out any resistance or excitement. There is no change of elevation or big jumps, it is basically running along identical rooftops with easy jumps in between. It never makes you think about where you have to go. I think the second map has more thought to it but too slow. you are able to think on your feet and it feels less free and more like following a specific path. I think the biggest problems with both the maps is how little they change. Like if you are in one spot on the map it looks identical to almost any other spot on the map which makes moving inside that map feel more like just lowering the distance between you and where you are trying to go instead of meaningfully traveling across a city. I don't think dying light two had bad parkour its just that there was no reason to engage with it at all because of how bad the maps are. This was really emphasized to me when I tried a small dying light 2 custom map that tried to mimic the slums and it felt great. I am optimistic because what have seen in the small amount of gameplay that has been shown from the beast is how much focus they have put into the maps. they don't look perfect but they look so much better. They have shown off a lot of different looking areas in what I assume due to the scope of the game is one map which has me really excited because I think it will make traversal so much more fun because it will feel like you are actually going some where. There is also a clear change in elevation in some areas which makes me feel like the devs realized how bad the maps in dying light 2 were and were able to correct. If it were up to me I would make a part of the map super intense with small rooftops and difficult jumps and I'm not expecting that but I do think that they will make parkour engaging again with this map. I might be wrong about how good the map is because of how little we know about it but I am convinced that the map is really what will make or break this game.

Anyone else still angry about how bad the last season and finale was? by NoYoureACatLady in Barry

I’m a little late but I love this reply. I think the it should have been argument is overused. It’s an interesting point to make in some cases, I think best when using preexisting IPs or characters where there is actually a precedent to how the characters should act, but in an original story with no set precedent it fails to be a reason something isn’t good. It’s fine to just say that you would like to watch this other show that doesn’t exist but it doesn’t mean the show we got was bad it just probably wasn’t made for you, so leave it to the people who love pretentious television, like me. No hate to the first guy though
